NOTHING like the ad claims but not bad
The apartment looks nothing like the photos in the ad. The center is much further away than the ad claims. For example, oxford street is at least 40 minutes away by public transport, and the advert says it's 12 minutes away by public transport. The apartment is fine, communication with the owner is smooth and check-in simple. There is indeed a supermarket and a bus within walking distance. BUT We had chosen this apartment to be close to the center and its surroundings and to stay in a beautiful place. And here we were, almost an hour's drive from everything, in an apartment that was nothing like what we'd chosen it for. Mind you, the apartment isn't bad. It's "satisfactory", but absolutely not as pretty, clean and furnished as the photos show.

I have to say that I am quite astonished to read this review. If you had actually bothered to read the advertisement it states quite clearly that it is a building of 7 very similar apartments with the same facilities and that the pictures were a mixture of the apartments. Having gone over the pictures there are indeed a number of pictures of the exact apartment you stayed in but you appear to have looked at the one picture and based your views on that… As for the apartment being 40 minutes away by public transport,with all due respect you are simply talking rubbish! Willesden Green on the Jubilee line is 7 stops on a direct line to Bond street which is in Oxford street. I have no idea which train you took to get to Oxford street but it is patently obvious that you took the wrong one! As one can see from the numerous reviews on the apartments you seem to be one of the very few to complain.

Picture didn’t match where I stayed
So this was a fantastic location and we had a great experience there…but the pictures are NOT what we reserved. It ended up being fine, we had a family of five and the 3 kids all had their own bed to stay in, and the location was honestly perfect and surrounded by really great local foods. I just really don’t like when I expect something and get a different listing

Hi Glad you enjoyed the stay. In terms of the pictures it is very clearly stated that we have a building of 7 very similar flats,that the pictures are a mixture of all of them and that we do not GUARANTEE a specific flat.

Secluded garden oasis
The host generously gave us the cabin he uses at the bottom of the garden for our stay. It was just perfect for our family. Very new, clean, quiet and private. It is like an oasis surrounded by greenery. We would have loved to stay longer. Tube station is a 10-15 min walk - about 30 mins to reach downtown London on the Jubilee line. Very close to groceries and some delicious Turkish food. An hour by tube to Heathrow.

Very Clean and Comfortable.
We only wished the neighborhood had some proper English pubs, otherwise, no complaints. Central London was easily accessible by a 10-15 minute walk to the tube. Lots of grocery stores nearby for supplies. The neighborhood highlight was definitely the Medittereanian fusion restaurant Mazal 76, just a quick walk away - don't miss it!

Well priced London flat for a group
This property was a great "home base" for me and my friends' recent trip to London. The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to check in an hour early which was a great help. The beds were fine, the bathroom was fine, wifi, heating, all that was good. It was a great, affordable option that had decent connections to the city centre.

Great family property for our London vacation
My family of 4 spent 4 nights at this property. I was looking for a rental that had enough beds so my kids did not have to share, air conditioning, and easy transportation into the city and this property fit the bill. I was a little worried about transportation, but there is a bus stop within 3 minutes walking and an underground station a 10 minute walk away. A large grocery store is on the way from the underground station and the full kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals at home and save a little money. Even stopped by the local pub a couple of evenings, once with live music and was warmly welcomed. Worked perfectly for our family and I would gladly stay here again.

Our hosts offered several travel tips and allowed us to check in early. We were flying in w two children from NYC so that was super helpful. The apt is far from central London, but we used the bus down the road and things got easier. In total it took 30-45 mins by bus. The tube is about a 15 min walk. Coffee shop and Sainsbury’s are about a 8 min walk and there are tons of stores on the strip around the corner. There were plenty of linens, dish ware and utensils.

good communication with owner - BUT>> so many stairs in very narrow stairwell. Difficult to get luggage up to our room. Flooding in the stairwell smelled bad. Hot in the apartment. the small A/C somewhat cooled off the front room - bedroom very hot. Washing machine did not work. Not enough room for 5 adults.

Great base for London vacation
We had 6 people ranging from age 9 to grandparent staying in the room. It was a tight fit for 6 people, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room so it was perfect as a home base during our stay in London.

Flat in older neighborhood away from central London
Our family of four (2 teens) occupied this flat for several nights in late May. It was clean and had all the basics needed. I had seen the reviews where they felt that had not received the flat pictured, but the owner makes it very clear on the website that each flat is a little different but has the same amenities. Ours was smaller than the picture appears, i.e. if I would need to fit 6 it would be too small. But worked fine for 4. It contained the one bedroom double bed, a double size pull out coach, and a two level bunk bed that came out from the wall. We had some initial plumbing issues, but the owner had it repaired as soon as possible. The owner was very responsive with my questions and needs. The walk to the train seems longer than 12 minutes (especially the first time with luggage) but we adjusted to the trek. There are several restaurants around for any meal. Our apartment was accessed only by a flight of stairs. I would consider staying again.

For 6 people,we do have bigger apartments in the building that we give. The walk to the train is around 9 minutes,but there is a bus 2 minutes from the house which you can take both to town and both to the underground station92 minute journey0. London vacation
This apartment was a nice, affordable place to stay while visiting London. It was within walking distance to a subway station as well as all amenities. The Internet connection was a little slow for our taste but it got the job done. It was very easy to communicate with the hosts regarding any issues that arose. Overall we would recommend this apartment to our friends.

Glad you enjoyed it. We do write that we have a building of 7 one bedroom apartments that are all very similar but that we do not guarantee a particular flat..hence there are small differences in the pi turns even though all have the same facilities.

No communication
The owner failed to communicate the check in process. He did reach out a couple days before to ask when we would be arriving, and when I replied with the the time, he replied with ‘thanks’. My assumption (my mistake, never assume) was that he would be meeting us there, as there was no other communication. On the day of arrival, my family and I turned up to locked apartment, in the rain/dark/cold. The owner didn’t answer his phone to me, or the VRBO representative. We were in the process of arranging emergency accommodation with VRBO when they were eventually able to get in touch with him. The story was that a text and/or email with entry codes would have been sent on day of arrival, but there was no such communication. Essentially, I feel we were forgotten about, which put my family in danger, as we stood on a dark London street with 6 suitcases for about 45 minutes until we found refuge in a local restaurant. When we were finally able to access the apartment, we found it comfortable, although the picture shown is NOT the picture of the actual apartment. The picture must be of the larger, upstairs apartment. Ours was significantly smaller, although it was clean and comfortable, and served our purpose of a ‘crash pad’.

It was a very good experience staying in this property despite an initial misunderstanding. I would recommend it for family with kids if a good price is secured. I found it a bit too high to pay 819 for five nights for one bed room but the property was big enough to accommodate the rest of us too though not ideal.....

L emplacement est bien. La ligne Jubilee est à 15mn (et non 10 comme annoncé) en marchant bien. Ms très pratique pour les différents déplacements ds Londres. Le logement est correct. Les couchages ds le salon st pratiques . Toutefois un petit coup de neuf serait appréciable. Le fauteuil ds le salon est bien « fatigué ». Isolation inexistante avec le logement du dessus . Cuisine petite ms très fonctionnelle. Bouilloire, grill-pain, micro ondes, plaque de cuisson,frigo. Pas de lave vaisselle ms un lave linge. Juste à rajouter un étendage .

Hi Just a couple of comments. The house is well insulated,but pls bear in mind that victorian houses are not made out of concrete so inevitably some sound will travel. Concerning the walk to the underground,it is certainly no more than 10 minutes walk walking normally as many of the reviews will testify. Take care Reuven

Séjour agréable
Appartement fonctionnel et propre. Nous y avons passé un agréable séjour. Il est situé pas très loin du métro. Si je devais dire un point à améliorer ça serait juste un peu plus de matériel (passoire avec poignée, 1 torchon en plus, sèche cheveux) sinon tout était parfait!

Bon rapport qualité/prix dans un quartier calme
Séjour de 3 jours à 5 (2 adultes et 3 enfants). Quartier calme, possibilité de se garer facilement dans la rue (payant de 10h00 à 15h00 du lundi au vendredi). Métro à 10mn à pied avec supermarché sur le trajet. Propriétaire disponible et réactif en cas de question. A recommander !
