It was convenient that the check-in was available after 10pm by arrangement. However, I paid extra for the the double room with King size bed on the ground floor, which according to the description was supposed to be bigger than other double rooms on the premises, but my room was quite small and there was a tiny gap between end of the bed and the wall. I had to squeeze through to get to the window to open/close the curtains every time, and it wasn’t on the ground floor. I wonder what the the ’normal’ size double bedroom would be like if mine was supposed to be a spacious one.
The picture of the room they provided was different to the room I got. I mentioned this to the lady who checked me in but she was adamant that this was the room I booked. The toilet seat was a completely wrong size and way too small for the bowl so you practically had to sit on the porcelain.
There was only one socket by the bed used by the TV. There were two more sockets underneath the window but, as mentioned above, it was difficult to get to and you would have to leave your devices on the floor, which wasn’t very clean.
There was no bedside lamp so you would have to get out of the bed to turn the room lights off when you go to bed and get back to your bed using your phone torch.
The hotel is in a good location close to the tube stations but personally I don't feel the room was worth £65/night by far and shouldn’t have advertise it differently to the actual room that they are offering.
