I have had some issues with their plumbing, so hopefully they upgrade bathrooms. The apartments are huge with living, small kitchen, bedroom and bath, each room sizeable (well, the kitchen is a step-saver, but plenty of space). Front desk, both staff members were cordial, kind, and efficient. Everything is close by with a grocery on the next block, 20 mid-level eats 1/2 block away and high-end same block. Walk to Fortnum, the Palace, etc.. Parking 2 blocks away and in an inexpensive underground on Chesterfield. A fantastic and classy place, lovely and helpful staff on the front desk. The bed and bathroom is great. Its like a home from home. Very competitively priced too. Reception staff are welcoming and efficient. We stay in this part of London (Mayfair) quite a bit, and hotel rooms are expensive and often small, which isnt relaxing. These rooms are like being in your own apartment. A large lounge with wall TV, sofa, table & chairs; bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. There's a king-size bed with Egyptian Cotton linen; fluffy white towels; a full array of teas, coffees & fresh milk in the fridge. Yes, due to the age of the building, there is a tiny lift with a metal gate closure, which is really quaint. Other guests have complained about it being tiny and impractical, but it is in perfect working order, and represents the age & character of the building. Definitely better than walking the stairs up 5 floors! The decor in the bedroom is a little dated, but the other positives more than make up for it. Very clean, spacious and homely.
