Corran House Guest House

10/10 Excellent

"Really great stay. For the price I was not expecting the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Staff were lovely and will make this a regular stay when I'm Oban"

The Scot

8/10 Good

"Hotel was very nicely laid out and staff friendly. Onsite parking provided, at a cost of £10 per day. It would have been nice if this was made clear at time of booking. Problem with TV. I had to fully reset and retune to enable it to operate. Reception staff did try, but were too busy (and probably under staffed) to spend time fixing. Suggest this is part of check list for hotel prior to new guests. Wi-Fi not the best managed to get 2 bars at best. Room noisy in morning as hotel is on busy road entering Oban. Tip would be request room at rear of hotel. We did not have breakfast as Oban has an abundance of cafes, and we have limited appetites in the morning."

Perle Oban Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Perle Oban Hotel & Spa! The location is perfect, right in the heart of town and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and pubs. We especially loved watching the fishing boats and ferries coming and going in the harbor. Our room was very comfortable, and the hotel was a wonderful home base for exploring Oban. We would happily stay here again!"

Beautiful 3 bedroom house with Hot tub, Sauna and Log burner stove

8/10 Good

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackmount House. The house is exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, cosy and welcoming. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The breathtaking views of the stunning Scottish landscape were a particular highlight. There is nothing quite like starting your morning with such beautiful scenery or relaxing in the evening while taking in the views. We stayed with our three dogs, and all five of us felt completely at home. Being able to bring our four-legged family members along made our holiday even more special. Blackmount House is also a fantastic base for exploring Oban, Scotland's beautiful west coast and the surrounding countryside. We would highly recommend this lovely property and would happily return again!"

Glencruitten House

8/10 Good

"Our stay at Glencruitten House was lovely. However, for the price there are a few things that did not exactly meet expectations. First, upon arrival we were offered a welcome drink to enjoy in the sitting room, which was very nice. But there was no direction for what we should do after. We were not offered assistance with bags at check-in, so we went to fetch our own bags after we finished our drinks. When we lugged in our bags we were told “oh someone could have helped you with that”. It was noted that no one proceeded to help us from the lobby to our room. There was also zero acknowledgement that we were celebrating our first anniversary. Not that we expected anything free— just acknowledging it would have gone a long way in appearing invested in your guests and making them feel special. On the whole, customer service just kind of seemed to be a bit lackluster. Additionally, the house just seemed to have quite a bit of touch ups/repair work needed (door on electric heater in bedroom was broken, lots of chipped paint on the walls, streaky paint jobs on windows where a second coat was necessary, sloppy paint jobs where paint was on window glass and door trims). Nothing was “wrong” with our stay, per se. It’s just that staff interactions and the space itself could have been much more polished and refined. Our experience was more in line with a cheaper accommodation."
