"This hotel is located in a former school, so there are lots of staircases, various rooms, and something new to find around just about every corner, including a well-equipped workout room and an indoor pool. The layout is confusing at first, but you quickly learn where everything is. There is a large parking lot in the rear, for which you pay a bit extra, but you can park for free on the street in front until 7 AM, after which you have to pay the meter."

"Okay for a night. A little dated and pretty standard for a medium priced room. Bed coverings were pretty thin and the heat was hard to adjust but that is probably due to operator error. The only thing that really made an impression was that I felt safe and parking was ample."

David provided more information about his property and area restaurants, activities, etc. than any other host I've encountered in my years of travel. Great communication. One caveat ... for those who are tall in stature or struggle with steps ... some low doorways and sloped 2nd floor bedroom ceilings. Expected in original construction."

"Location just 10 minutes drive from Stirling was great, space for two cars! Kitchen was a good size and living/dining space was welcoming. A lot of recommendations/information for things to do. Very detailed welcome folder. We were three couples and one of the room only had twin beds, but we made it work. Two en-suite bathrooms were very appreciated. Very easy communication with owners when we had a couple of questions. Would highly recommend."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend anyone booking if interested in visiting the quaint little historic town of Kippen, which is perfectly located for visits to Stirling (we were there for a wedding in Stirling), Bridge of Allen, Dunblane, Doune, Loch Lomond, and the surrounding areas. The cottage has a comfortable bed, two nice bathrooms, a relaxing den, fully stocked kitchen, and a gorgeous small back yard with amazing views of the country side. Also located next door to Cross Keys Pub with delicious meals and a small grocery across the street with extremely kind owners. If visiting the area do not pass on this VRBO!"
