Hotel had a problem with air conditioning which affected three nights of our stay. Additionally, mini fridge did not cool at all. Finally, after three nights, the hotel fixed the air conditioning problem but only gives customers an apology for the inconvenience of having no air conditioning during some of the hottest days of the early season. For the price of the hotel, the in room amenities are pretty weak. Bathroom has nothing more really than a combo soap shampoo. No conditioner, no body lotion. Room condition was very tired. Wallpaper was warped and peeling. Furniture was showing clear signs that it need to be updated. On the plus side, the location is good. Breakfast was okay but even there during our six night stay, the availability of items was very inconsistent. Some days there were two flavors of yogurt. Some days only one. Some days there were multiple varieties of bread. Other days there was nothing more than a basic bread. Did have some decent front desk help with questions about the city.
Overall, just the feeling that the hotel is not worth the price they charge. They need to put more money into the hotel to upgrade the quality to match the price. And when tangible amenities like air conditioning breakdown a hotel has to find a way to do more than just apologize to a customer. There needs to be some tangible gesture for the lost value of what the customers paid for.
