combination of modern and traditional features. Liked the suit of armour in the lobby, excellent shower and the welsh breakfast. evening meal was in the bar rather than spacious restaurant that was used for breakfast. Quite steep stairs to 2nd floor. Good drawer facilities. Staff very helpful. Lots of dogs allowed everywhere. no packed lunch available though two chain grocery stores nearby.
We booked two rooms for two females, rooms 12 & 22, to find that we were put in room15 ( 2 way mirror in the bathroom ?) and the Flat which was unfit for use as a full priced room I didn’t even go in the supposed room as my alarm bells began to ring. The doors have no dead lock for security at night time. Also the food in the restaurant was nothing but frozen things from the store next door or so it looked and tasted. The drinks can be very suspect as well as water seems to have a strange film on it and was left untouched.
We discussed changing hotels but illness prevented us.
The beds in the room were tidy but not clean, hairs in the pillows, the bathroom had black mould around the bath and a dirty shower head. Not to mention the black hairs in the sink.
I could go on about the place but the main point is - SINGLE WOMEN STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL..
