The house is located in a village on the outskirts of Lecce and is situated in a street that enjoys maximum tranquility. Composed of a double bedroom, a room with a star vault with a sofa bed and a mezzanine with two beds, a kitchen, a bathroom and a courtyard. The house allows access to both a small terrace and a larger terrace. Activities all within a few meters: Pharmacy, pizzeria, rotisserie with ready-to-go dishes, supermarket, bar, household goods. Very convenient to discover the wonders of Salento. At about 200 meters there is a bus stop to reach the city of Lecce which is 4 km away. , the house is located just 5 minutes from the historic center of Lecce and with just 3 minutes by car you can reach the Lecce ring road and therefore with convenient highways you can reach the most important places, towards the Adriatic coast about 30 min. Otranto, towards the Ionian coast about 30 min. Gallipoli. It takes about 40 min to reach Porto Cesareo. from the ring road. In the month of July the town of Merine hosts one of the most popular events in Salento in recent years: "La sagra te lu ranu". Not to be missed, in three days there are also 80/100 thousand presences. At the end of August, the most important event that has become a cult event is held in Melpignano about 25 km away: "La notte della Taranta", a marathon that lasts all night with music and traditional Salento dances, the so-called "Pizzica". Smoking is not allowed, pets are not allowed and it is forbidden to organize parties / events and disturb the neighborhood. A spacious, clean property in a small 'village' on the outskirts of Lecce. We only went sightseeing a few days, so used Radio taxis (25-30 euros each way to Lecce) rather than hiring a car. Bus service almost non-existent. Driving into Lecce is not for fainthearted as streets are full of pedestrians. Supermarket (open 8-2 and 5-8) closed Sundays, plus a bar, pharmacy, florists and butchers nearby. The only eaterie, the Pizzeria seemed to open at random hours around 7pm only. There was a good sized fridge/freezer and hob/oven plus microwave, but kitchen equipment was too basic: eg no carving knives or kettle initially, so we had to heat water either in a saucepan on hob or a mug in the microwave. However, when we spoke to Claudia, she brought us these in a few hours. She's friendly and helpful. Likewise, broken lock on washing machine was fixed with an engineer fitting a new door the same day. The courtyard is very small and lacks any seating. A garden table and chairs would make sitting out and writing/eating outside much more comfortable than using kitchen chairs. It is beautifully sunny about 5-6 hours a day. The rooftop terrace was just a rooftop with no seating. Welcome pack of salt/pepper/coffee/milk/bottled water plus bathroom soap would help late arrivals as the supermarket closes 8ish. Also needs local info sheet. Wifi was unreliable. Weekly cleaner was bookable for about €10/hr. Enjoyed our stay. ##### Stephanie B. Es hat eine Grösse von ca. 80 qm, ist sehr gepflegt und in einem nahezu neuwertigem Zustand. Es gibt 4 Betten, 1 Doppelbett im Schlafzimmer und 2 Einzelbetten im Wohnzimmer auf der 2\. Ebene. Küche und Bad top. Besonders gut ist, dass es eine kleine Terasse gibt und man hier die Möglichkeit hat, die Wäsche aufzuhängen Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir durften bereits 2 Stunden früher einchecken. Wir haben nichts negatives zu berichten. Alles war einwandfrei!
