La vista dalla terrazza panoramica è poi davvero bella. Nulla da dire sulla pulizia, sempre perfetta. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, il checkin è velocissimo. Colazione non con grandissima varietà, ma tutto molto buono (brioches calde eccellenti). Das Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel, spektakulär über Livorno. Etwas unterhalb des Hotels liegt das kleine Zentrum des Dorfes Montenero Alto, wo viele Leute hinfahren um das Klostergebäude anzugucken oder die Aussicht zu geniessen. Daher gibt es nur einen Zufahrtsweg (steil, eng und verwinkelt durch die Stadt / Dorf), der bessere durch den Wald, ist dann eine Einbahnstraße. Der Hinweg ist daher nciht ganz einfach aber ausgeschildert. Am Platz selber angekommen (hoffentlich) muss man beim ganzen Trubel dann aber das winzige Schild zur winzigen Seitenstrasse finden, die dann noch etwa 100 m durch eine enge Gasse zum Hotel hoch führt. Ansonsten fährt man unweigerlich in die Einbahnstrasse und muss etwa 20km um den Berg herum, einen neuen Versuch unternehmen. Wir haben mit Hilfe eine ital. Ehepaares und ein Stück per pedes, nach 1 1/2 Std. unser Ziel erreicht. Andere Gäste nach uns haben teilw. länger gebraucht... Das Hotel an sich, entschädigt dann durch die Lage, man hat wirklich komplett Livorno plus Meer im Blick. Vor allem Abends bei gutem Wetter im Restaurant draussen, fantastisch! Unser Zimmer (Comfort) war i.O. gutes Bett und Co., allerdings waren die badarmuaturen teilweise nicht mehr schön.
