Do not stay at this property unless your idea of vacation is cleaning and repairing someone else’s house.We arrived on a 90degree summer day to find a hot house. When the owner was contacted he sent his housekeeper who knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. She was unable to fix it herself but was able to instruct us what to do and the problem was resolved for a few hours when we had to perform the temporary fix again. Obviously he knew he had a problem.The dock outside had broken chairs and filthy furniture and which had to be cleaned before using. The upper floor on the dock was unusable due to disrepair. The outside cooking area was caked with grease and took 3people working on it before it was usable.Nails protruding from the deck had to be hammered in after tripping people.One threshold had become detached from the house,again tripping our guests.Chemicals for the hot tub are stored in an unlocked cabinet. There was dog poo all over the back yard.The kayaks which we had been looking forward to using were filthy and not supplied with life jackets.My family has been renting vacation houses for many years and we know what to expect with a properly cared for home which this is not. The owner of this place was unapologetic and stated that it was being picky to expect the outside to be cleaned before using.
