"Breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit and lovely cooked breakfast. Staff were lovely. On the downside - the mattress was so soft it sunk straight down to the divan below; also the bathroom needed a dust and clean (skirtings/doors etc)"

"The property itself was ok but it is joined to a building site and all you hear is stihl saws loud music and shouting and swearing from the builders. The 9 pm noise curfew is a joke, bangra until the early hours. Stay Angels were no help at the point of complaint, nothing we can do was their mantra."

"Excellent service as soon as I arrived at The Barrel Inn. All the staff I came into contact with were friendly and extremely helpful. From check in, breakfast, bar staff and waiting on. Food was wonderful. Apart from the above what most impressed was when I was out for a walk, Oliver contacted me to see if myself and my husband needed a reservation for that evening. Above and beyond as far as I'm concerned, looking after their residents. As I know from the evening before the pub would have been extremely busy. Well done The Barrel Inn. "
