Location was pretty central so we never had to travel far to reach transit hubs, convenience stores or places to eat good food. The funicular was out of service during our stay. Room was clean upon arrival and cleaning service was very diligent that our amenities would be changed or tidied up daily if required.

Bit expensive for the location and services . There’s no staff onsite but prompt communication by host via text. Services messaged us our breakfast each day despite being told of our preferences. The host refunded the breakfast fee but it caused us inconvenience each day as it added extra time to go a local shop before our tour started.

All communication is via app and Whatsapp, no front desk but they are very responsive and Im fairly certain its a human and not a robot responding. Large room un a surprisingly quietlocation considering the close proximity to Pink Street. The two criticism is a luggage rack or other funiture would be helpful. Also the wall hooks and closet rod are extremely high on the walls, making them an awkward stretch to reach. Room includes hot water kettl, iron, many wall outlets & a very firm bed. Plenty of luggage storeage at the hotel and within 30m of the place.

Really spacious and comfortable. 2 min walk from Time Out Food Market. Has a lift and you can store luggage at a small cost. Shame there was not much room entertainment, limited TV channels, no Nerfliks

Overall, this hotel was good. The location was excellent and the room was set up well for our needs. There are a few things to note: 1) the entrance is not well marked or communicated. It is actually halfway inside a restaurant and the name of the place did not match the name of the place on our booking. 2) when we arrived late at night, there was a raging party in the square directly behind the building. The unit’s reviews say that it’s great for families. But, I have to say that our 10 year old couldn’t go to sleep until 1am, after the party itself was over and the crowd died down. It was a rager, which was “fun”, but it really screwed up our sleep schedule. We were concerned it would repeat the other 2x nights we stayed here, but luckily it was a 1x night event. 3) the shower water leaks into the bathroom and creates quite a mess. Overall, great stay though.

The location and size of this place is outstanding. The unit was huge and the bathroom was the biggest we have seen in Portugal. Everything was walkable and the area was quite safe and easy to navigate. That said, communication with the host was lacking. Once we figured things out we were good to go though. Side note, you are right on top of the tram, so you can hear it running all day / evening. It really didn’t bother us and we actually thought it was funny. I’m not sure we would stay here again for price to cleanliness ratio… but it was a great experience.
