Our host, William, was very kind and helpful, the location was perfect and, the apartment was awesome - very clean and huuuuge! Being so close to the Metro/Train Station and TimeOut Market is a real bonus. The Bica Funicular is also steps away. Using the public transport is easy and convenient. Lisbon is such a vibrant, beautiful city with so much to do but it is easy to get away if you want. Ferry to Calcihas, up to Cristo Rei to see great views of Libson, and grab a drink at Porto Final. Alfama is so interesting to walk, eat, drink in. And, the hills of Bairro Alto are a must see/walk about. Bear in mind that Libson is a city of hills so bring comfortable shoes. Sintra and Cascais are great day trips. I would definitely stay with GEM again! ##### paula k. Checkin was fantastic with all details explained and great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Tons of restaurants right down the street and a fun bar right below. We stayed over a weekend and could hear the bar but at 1100 the music stopped and it was never bothersome. And if you like beer the bar was fantastic! Lots of yummy choices.
