We were there for our son’s wedding at the Alta and it was close to the venue. It was very quiet at night and there was no road noise. The bedrooms have patios and you can open the doors and windows for lots of fresh air and ocean views. Carlos was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to take care of us. We stayed for 10 days in August and the temperature ranged from 25 to 32°C each day. You do get a bit of sea mist from time to time but for me it adds to the overall experience of Praia da Areia Branca. The village has a number of restaurants and bars which cover a range of cuisines. If you have a car then you will be able to explore the area. If you don't then a taxi trip to Lourinhã is easy to arrange for grocery shops if you are self catering. Casas da Arriba is a beautiful property. Modern throughout with high quality fittings and fixtures. The overall sense is one of understated luxury. The photos posted on the site do not do it credit. The location of the villa gives great views over the coast looking to the south and the peninsular at Peniche is also visible to the north. Finally I have to say a few words about Carlos. Nothing was too much. He was always available at the end of the phone or text and always had a solution for anything that arose - not that much did! He provided us with the number of a local English speaking taxi driver - Mr Ramiro. He was able to recommend restaurants and on our first day even gave us a lift back from the supermarket after a chance meeting there.
