"We booked this place based on it was a new listing and nice modern furnishings. Maybe we were the unlucky ones but we were welcomed with unswept floors, non-working toliet with a surprise from a previous unsuccessful flush, dead insects, and no hot water. Naxos Magic Village Hotel

8/10 Good

"This is a very serene, peaceful place to stay with a beautiful pool and it is just far enough away from the main village of Stelida that it is quiet, but still walkable to the village. Although if you walk, be aware that there is no street writing and you will have to watch out for cars . The view from my balcony was beautiful. The pool gets deep rather quickly so it’s not ideal for young children. The pool is older, but kept very clean and the water was a great temperature. The sunbeds were very nice as well. The breakfast was delicious and appreciated every morning. The restaurant had good food overall and the service was very good. I would not recommend staying in a partial basement room as we had an issue with a few bugs appearing. We moved out of that room and went into our higher level room, which was so much nicer. It would be nice if the hairdryers were updated and the bedding for the single beds was pretty worn out and needs to be replaced. This is not a modern hotel, but it does have modern amenities. The charm of this hotel is the fact that it is older and is very unique with the way that it is laid out. We really enjoyed that. Overall, I would return. The staff was also very helpful with any issues that we had."

"Argo was the perfect location just by the beach but 5 minute walk into the port town. Wonderful staff, delicious breakfast each morning, and easily rented cars from their affiliate service with parking 1 block away. Easy access to the rest of the island, all the beaches and sites. "Staff was great, breakfast was great with a good selection of local options. Property was really clean and well maintained, parking was super easy and location was very conveniently located. However, the room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and the pool was not heated (we were here mid June). This is normal for this area, but we made sure to book a place that looked like it had a hot tub and while it appears on the pictures that there is a hot tub, this was also not heated… which was a bummer because during our stay the highs were only in the mid 70’s (F) and the winds were fierce."

"Three star hotel seems overrated: Cons: The rooms were very outdated. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, along with the bedding being old. The beach towels provided (specifically to our room) appeared to be rags. Other guests had newer towels. The bathroom had a tiny shower with doors that did not close and leaked water, completely soaking the bath mat with each shower. I would also recommend showering at night or being an early riser. There was no hot water any of the three days around 8:00AM. Pros: The rest of the property was quite nice, especially the pool area. We were able to lay all day by the pool and use the sunbeds. The breakfast was extensive, having a variety of meat, cheese, and breads, along with fruit, pastries, and eggs."

"The room was beautiful. The staff was very helpful. It was a beautiful room and it was conveniently located to a lot of things very walkable. The only thing we did not like was that we gave them laundry to do and as long as you fit it in a bag, then they charge you €20 for that bag when we got the laundry back, it was folded in two bags and they charged us for two bags, even though we have been led to believe that whatever would fit in the bag was for €20 so they ended up charging us for three bags total. We only thought we had two bags I did not appreciate that but other than that, everything else was good."
