We very much enjoyed our stay. First time B & B users, we really had a great experience. The owners were very friendly and very accomidating. The Breakfasts were very tasty.

We don't usually stay at a B&B
The Gathering Place was an exception to our normal overnight stays. What a surprise. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, my wife says, more comfortable than our bed at home, and the breakfast was delicious, coffee, juice, a bowl of fresh fruit and French toast or blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup, served by Chef AL. Annette was very charming and talented, she is a crafter, quilter, and sewer. My wife, also a professional sewer, and Annette had a good discussion. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay with Al and Annette

It was a beautiful property with a very unique house. The bedroom was very comfortable and we were welcomed warmly. The hosts were helpful and they served a delicious breakfast in the morning. A walk around the property with the host's snowshoes was delightful. We even got a call showing their concern with our travelling to their home in some poor weather conditions.

Al and Annette are super nice and friendly. Their place is exceptionally clean and the bed's very comfy. Al's home made omelette and toasts are unforgettable. We have planned to visit this place again in the summer for at least two nights. Highly recommend this B&B for everyone, lone travellers or families.

I had a very pleasant stay at The Gathering Place in Bancroft, Oct 7, 2022. Al and Annette were wonderful hosts. Their place was set in the woods and very peaceful. The house impeccably clean. The room was gorgeous, bed super comfy. I had a great sleep. Deliciius breakfast the next morning. I highly recommend.

A gem in the woods
Beautiful property in the country side surrounded by matured trees. Amazing hosts and great breakfast. The property is spotless and each room is decorated with great taste. Very comfortable bed, quality linens and blankets. Beautiful view from the bed room. Lots of walking trails.Very friendly hosts and we had a very pleasant stay at Gathering Place. We will go there again.

A peaceful and loving atmosphere that was very welcoming to my three year old as well. A beautiful property with excellent hosts and delicious breakfast! The owners were quite helpful with directions as well.

This was my first ever stay at a B&B. We selected the Gathering Place because of the unique stackwall log construction of the home. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

There is a narrow staircase to the guest rooms, but on the positive side there is a chair lift for those that need it.

The Gathering Place is a magical place. Annette and Al were wonderful hosts. We felt welcomed as if by family. On the first night, they accommodated a switch to the Loon Room. Very comfortable and spacious, we'd recommend this room for anyone travelling with an infant or child. The house itself is a marvel of architecture - it's not every day you see a round house. The gardens are spectacular as well - definitely take the time to walk around the pond once, or more! The breakfasts were super tasty and served at various times to accommodate people's schedules. The blueberry pancakes were a breakfast highlight. Annette and Al were fascinating to speak with. Interesting and compassionate people, they've got lots of wisdom to share. They went above and beyond as hosts - Al even helped my husband get a trailer re-attached to our truck when it was time to leave. We were travelling with our baby. They were very welcoming of him as well. We cannot recommend the Gathering Place highly enough. Lack of communication re: breakfast and billing. More concerned about getting money than a guest’s experience. Like being in someone’s house. First thing told is to take off your shoes!
