Unlike the rest of Flanders, this province was never part of the Spanish or Austrian Netherlands. Instead, it belonged to the Prince-Bishopric of Liège until the 18th century. You can still see traces of this history today. Start your holiday in Limburg by discovering the surrounding nature. Visit the orchards and the rolling hills of Hesbaye in the spring, discover the green valleys or admire Campine and cycle or walk through the woods.
