Lille Grand Palais

The room was clean but in need of an upgrade. Net curtains shabby, torn and heavy curtains were hanging off curtain rail in places. Staircase carpet dirty. Reception and waiting staff were helpful and professional. Dinner was lovely but breakfast disappointing. Breakfast is served until 9.30am. Came down at 9am and hardly any hot food left, not replenish!

We stayed for eight nights. The staff is very helpful and polite. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable. The only thing that gave an impression other than cleanliness is the hotel carpet, both in the room and the hallway and stairs. It is worn and it has been cleaned many times to remove stains. I would still consider the room clean regardless but it gave a poor impression. Don’t get me wrong, I was very happy with my stay and I would stay again. Should you book a room here don’t hesitate to include the breakfast. It was very very nice and the staff made it even more enjoyable. Thank you Hotel Grand Bellevue.

The staff were very professional and polite, although at exactly 1 minute past check out time they started banging on the door despite being aware that I am a wheelchair user. There was no AC in the room and given the heatwave, this made the room uncomfortable despite the fans provided. The hotel is not advertised as having AC and the heat was unprecedented, especially for a South facing room. The bedroom, towels and sheets were clean but the carpet and chairs were filthy. Despite booking a room with a balcony, the room provided had the doors bolted shut but they did move us to another room. The location is good, a quiet residential area with a supermarket and a few restaurants nearby. Breakfast is available but we decided to make our own. The kitchenette is very basic with no worktop space and no toaster. The coffee machine was a unique contraption and you could only buy pods for it at the hotel but the coffee was not great for €1 a pop when you have to make it yourself. There was a kettle, fridge and microwave in good working order.
