staff is very helpful n courteous…. room is a bit challenging: fridge leaked n table it sits on had lots of water across it — i had my cloth bag n pouch with all wires sitting there! my bag is ruined as it is cloth n has greeting cards n books inside … soo upset!! soo i grabbed a towel to wipe water off n placed my cloth bag on it where color smeared on towel!! wat a MESS…

Check-in was ok. The clerk was nice enough to switch our room from the second floor to the first floor. However she handed me a roll of toilet paper because for the room since since the housekeeper left a note saying there may not be any in that room. And of course there wasn't any. The room was at least clean. However the noise coming from the conference hall was overwhelming. The fire alarm even went off. There was some Hispanics throwing a party so the music was extremely loud. Music that went on until after 1 am. Even people walking around in the parking lot that made me feel uncomfortable.

It’s a so so kind of place

Definitely not a 4 star hotel! It was ok for what we needed at the time but needs ALOT OF RENOVATIONS. No soap to wash hands and would definitely not shower there. Our sheets had burn holes from cigarettes. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Older hotel but nice

When we checked infront desk clerk very friendly. In room we could not get tv to work but clerk came and fixed issue right away. They don't have phones in rooms, but with everyone having cell phones now there really isn't a need for them. Bed wasnt bad (meaning neither of us woke up with sore backs :-) ), room was clean. Nice area of town and close to food establishments.

Kind of a sketchy area; non-smoking room had cigarette burn holes in carpet, bedspread, and sheets. Room was smelly. In a brighter note, staff was extremely friendly and courteous.

I was extremely satisfied with my recent stay at Countrside Inn, especially for the price, you can’t beat it! Where I am from you can’t find a hotel for less then $70/nite and if you do I promise you will be sharing the room with coakroaches and bed bugs. Not at CSI! The furniture and linens in the room were dated, but everything was absolutely clean, including the bathrooms which is most important to me. The staff was great and very helpful. The lady that works at night helped me feel very safe as she walked the entire property on a less then hourly basis making sure that everyone was being quiet and that nobody that was not a guest was not on property. That made me feel very safe considering I am a single white female in a strange town all alone. So thank you for that CSI. My only complaint, and it wasn’t even an issue for me but they do not have any amenities at all but what can u expect for such a great price. I would highly recommend CSI to travelers and out of towners needing somewhere to sleep during a long day driving or even to someone who is only going to be in Richmond for a short time due to work or something I hear that the weekly rates here are great as well. I gave CSI a 5 star rating, it’s not the Hilton but, you definitely get what you pay for and i would stay at CSI again anytime I go back to Richmond. Thank You to the staff for being so great!

Okay but No Pool as advertised

NO WORKING POOL. Just a big empty hole. Apparently, it has been that way for years, but the pool was not repaired and sight info was never updated.

Dam Dive Trip, Day One

When traveling by myself, I look for inexpensive. All I need is a good shower, and a comfortable bed. Hopefully, in a clean room. This Inn fit the bill nicely. Thanks for a nice stay!

Worst Stay in my Life

The staff misbehaved, their Wi-Fi net is absolutely poor, they even did not fixed it after repeated requests. I stayed with my family 12 x days, they said we have given you rooms, but Wi-Fi is free, so it’s not our responsibility to fix it. The rooms were dirty. Horrible condition and horrible stay.

Cheap prices is what you get.

The pictures on the hotel.com isn't what I walked into. To get to the hotel you go through a gas station, waffle House parking lot. You basically pay for what you get. No morning breakfast available, small parking lot, and it's good if you don't like quality, comfort and cleaniness.
