"Le Chardon Bleu is family owned and ran by the most amazing husband and wife duo. They were extremely welcoming, helpful and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay there due to their charismatic energy and sweet demeanor. The area was extremely safe and very walkable with lots to do in the area. Not to mention their puppies who hang in the lobby and greet you when you walk in. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves to support small businesses/ family owned businesses. "The site is sort of far away from most things but there is lots to do onsite or it is easy enough to take a bus or walk elsewhere. Staff was very helpful, informative, and welcoming. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The food from the restaurant was ok. The rooms can be hard to locate because the site is so big, but the staff is very helpful and shows you exactly how to get to your room. "
"The hotel closed the pool for chlorine during the day - on a day when the red flags were up at the beach which means no swimming. Really poor planning. You can chlorinate the pool any time, to do it in the middle of the day is dumb. We only stayed for 3 nights so it was disappointing. "
