Loved our stay at Batu Karang. The service and attentiveness was exceptional. The food was amazing, dinner was definitely cuisine. Really felt welcome, such a peaceful atmosphere.

The property is one of the best on the island. It is now aging, reasonably expensive and I noticed the occupancy rate was well down. The food is excellent but expensive. The site is most beautiful on a very steep slope above the water. Golf carts are used to transport up and down the hill on a very steep, long gradation. This can be inconvenient although a cart and driver is always available.

While we really appreciate your stay with us, we do understand that budget and value perception can be relative. Being located on an island also effects prices and costing for everything. We have yearly regular maintenance the whole resort as well as during pandemic for 2-years, as we would like to keep our resort spotless and well-maintained which is rare for hotels/resorts to do this. We normally received great feedback of how our resort is located, with ocean view and the majestic Mount Agung as the background. Book Direct!

The place is beautiful, well situated with good dining options (NO ROOM SERVICE) and spectacular views. This IS NOT AN EXPEDIA VIP property as NO ONE in the hotel wasn't even aware of what that is, never mind honouring the benefits. The staff always greet you with a smile even when they have no idea of what you saying as some of them clearly speak very little English. Nevertheless, despite these hiccups, it is a very pleasant hotel and most likely I will be coming back.

It is true if we are not serving the room service due to our resort is located on the hill-side, However, we have golf buggies available all the time to take our guests up and down by pressing one single button. We are currently doing an English Learning Course for all our Staff to improve their conversations. Hope to see you back soon and you can see the old faces with their fluent English.

Lovely stay at the hotel and the staff was very gracious and kind. The room was relatively well appointed and the dining options were good. Only complaint was late breakfast (7:30am) so we were not able to eat before excursions. The kindly offered that we could grab some fruit the night before and store it in our fridge but we missed that as well as kitchen closes at 9pm.

The place is on a hill and very difficult to get around, when you arrive the system to get you checked in is a little odd and takes way too long. The pool near the beach closes at 4pm, and even the other one closed at 6pm which seemed odd for Asia. The other pool was up so many steps it was really hard to get to. All this would put me off going back. Island wise I didn’t think it was that amazing pretty average.

While we appreciate for your stay with us. The Reservation Team sends a confirmation to your Expedia.com messaging offering to organize pick-up service for you which include a transport company where we can greet you on the beach and escort you via the front entrance. Unfortunately when guests book their own transport with 3rd party companies, it is out of our control where the companies drop the guests - we would also much prefer check-in from the front entrance. It is also true that our resort is situated on a hillside with gold buggies to assist transport to the top and vice versa. Our Pools on the top are closed until 6.00pm due to we need to do the water treatment to have fresh water in the morning. While our Pool on the main area, is closed at 4.00pm due to we have o start set-up the dinner set-up of our restaurant. Thank you for choosing your stay with us and we trust the remainder of your travels were safe.

The best place to stay on Nusa Lembongan. Close to two great beaches and lots of great restaurants. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Staff were very accommodating in helping me organise transfers and transport. Had the best view from my room! Would highly recommend.

Can not go from the room without their transportation, too steep to walk, very inconvenient because at times it took a long time. Very limited food choices and not great quality. Roads in Nusa Lambongan are terrible. I will not recommend anybody going there. We ended up doing nothing.

This is a beautiful property with amazing rooms, views, and amenities. The walkable access to other nearby sites and restaurants was great. Loved the variety of restaurant options within the hotel. My only complaints would be that the pools close early. Also, the staff are lovely and very nice, but service seemed to occur at a slower pace than other stays we have enjoyed in Bali. I think it was more of an issue of the hotel system and not an issue with the actual staff who were all lovely.

We had the most wonderful time at Batu Karang. All of the staff were incredible, always greeting you with a smile and would always go out of their way to help you. The facilities were beautiful and the grounds were immaculately kept. The breakfast is amazing and the views speak for themselves! We would come back in a heartbeat if it wasn’t a 17 hour flight away!!

Lovely place and amazing staff. Lots of things are under maintance which is unfortunate (sauna, some areas). STAFF ARE AMAZING GOOD VIBES AND POSITIVE. I feel bad they need more staff (seems too busy for them). Overall location is amazing. I noticed there were 5 different pieces of bedding and towels that had makeup, stains that weren’t changed (didn’t feel as clean). I’d give this place another chance tho. Also this place isn’t wheelchair friendly (fyi) its very steep (maybe not the best for older demographic)

We really appreciate your stay with us and for taking the time to let us know your feedback, we wish to clarify some items on this review. It is true that our Sauna Room is under maintenance, therefore we have removed this information in all online platform since January this year. Regarding the un-friendly resort for wheelchair, we have a villa that is actually wheelchair friendly and we have golf buggies operationally on request basis to take you up and down by one press button. Did you mention to the Management during your stay about your towel? So, if something was out of the ordinary, it would need to be fix immediately. That being said we are happy that you enjoyed your time. Book DIrect! And we will take a good care of you.

We had an adventure getting there since it was pouring with rain but when we arrived they welcomed us with a welcome drink (although we would've preferred to get to our room and have a shower first). The hotel was very nice, the pool area was lovely and the room was clean. The service at breakfast and at the bar was excellent. We didn't dine at the main resturant as we only stayed a couple of days, however the food looked very nice. It was in a good location just outside of the town. However, be aware if you come from Bali, "taxi's" are much more expensive on this island, also watch out for pick-pockets when you get off the boat whe you arrive.

You can not go wrong booking Batu Karang. Hands down the nicest hotel on the island. The team are so kind and welcoming for the minute you arrive through to checkout. Breakfasts plentiful and healthy, the restaurant is also amazing. The rooms are the winner, we booked a room with plunge pool with the most spectacular views.. highly recommend!

Be very careful if booking through Wotif and staying with Batu Karang. When booking through the app the app will default with no warning to the nearest date to the date your trying to book if the date your wanting is fully booked.. and with no warning until you’ve locked it in at the end. Then the hotel will provide no refund or exchange or credits. Extremely disappointed

The property layout and the views from the hotel are absolutely stunning. Our one bedroom villa was beautifully decorated and had a gorgeous view of the the beach. The outdoor shower was a first for us and now we believe there’s no better way to shower! The food was amazing; beautifully presented dishes, full of flavor, and plenty of menu items offered to suit any palate. The pool had a very comfortable temperature, and there were plenty of lounges with shade umbrellas. The boardwalk below the hotel was a very convenient way to access other restaurants, little shops, and the beach. We were blown away by the hotel itself, but the staff take the experience to an even higher level. Everyday we were greeted with genuine smiles. Each staff member was professional and answered all of our needs with effortless efficiency; everything from booking fast boat transfers and snorkeling activities, to changing currency was done with ease. We didn't have to think about anything else except having fun and relaxing while we were there. We trusted their recommendations for activities and we were not disappointed! Our only problem is that we didn’t book a longer stay.

Perfect place for a time out
I loved this hotel- very comfortable for a solo traveler, the ocean views, the super nice staff, beautifully presented food and amenities in your room. The spa was a win and I went three days in a row - highly recommend the Balinese massage for 90 mins. The staff go above and beyond. A few things in the room could use refreshing (tote bag was overused, molding in the bathroom needs to be redone and a few things weathered/should be replaced (containers for shampoo/body wash and bath salts). But this was minor. I can’t wait to come again. Perfect place to relax.

We didn’t want to leave! We had a lovely 4 night stay at Batu Karang and would highly recommend. The views were beautiful and the property itself was so tranquil. Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. The only negative was the 10am check out time, which we didn’t realise until the day before leaving (it didn’t quite line up with our boat departure). Would stay again.
