"I originally had a better rating but after staying the night I did notice that the staff were using the blower to clear the front of the property a little after 7:00a.m. and it was loud enough to wake us up. I know that we were in one of the front rooms so nothing could be done about the traffic on the street but the noise from staff can be prevented. Also, people were checking in or coming in late and were very loud down the hall after 10:00p.m. Otherwise we had a nice stay."

"Perfect spot for a family with teenagers. They each got their own room! Very relaxing. The A/C units in the living room and bedrooms are a welcome relief from the late summer heat. Not too far from Pinecrest Lake for water activities and movies under the stars. Twain Harte with a couple of restaurants just down the road for when you don’t want to cook.Host is very responsive. We would definitely stay here again."

"This is our second visit the the Bear Valley cabin by the lake. We will be back.The cabin may be the only rental available that has walk down access to the lake, which is one of the main reasons we rented the firt time and a reason we came back.Communication with Molly, the host, is genuinely one of the easiest VRBO communications I've ever had and I appreciate her thoughtfulness, quick answers, willingness to hear suggestions about what the cabin might need, etc. Renting a cabin/VRBO with hosts like Molly make travel life much easier.We will be back."

"Everything was pretty good, in the rooms some of the floors were not cleaned under the beds.The AC did not work, particularly well.The dryer did not dry our towel well.With those items out of the way, everything else was pretty great. It was comfortable, the host answered my questions well right away. Overall, this is one of the better cabin experiences I’ve ever had in the area. I would absolutely stay here again."
Cozy Retreat w/ Deck ~ 2 Mi to Pinecrest Lake!

"We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and found everything very clean. The location is great and we were able to walk right down to the river and fish. However this is an older home and it seemed a little overpriced for the condition of the living room and deck. The sofas were not very comfortable and the deck needs some sprucing up. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. We were there on a very hot week in August and without a/c, the fans did not do an adequate job of cooling. The screen door to the patio was missing so we had no thru ventilation, and there are no shades on the back windows to keep out the sun."
