Nicely restored home in downtown Murphys CA. Stayed upstairs which required going up some narrow stairs but not a problem. Room with king bed and bathroom,decor and linens lovely. Made to order breakfast was delicious.

Fantastic Stay

The property is quaint and charming with a super friendly staff. Breakfast is made to order with a smile. My only critique: my partner and I are both 6 feet tall and we unfortunately booked a room at the top with a downward sloping ceiling at multiple places. My fault for not better reading the description. Now you know. Come and enjoy yourselves.

Great place.

Wonderful building. The room was better than expected. The balcony was lovely. There is a terrific dining room and a library with a fireplace in the winter. Lots of cool books to browse through. We had a delicious breakfast on the porch the wondered around the gardens. Great place for weddings and other gatherings. The town of Murphy's was a delight. All the action is just a few doors down.

Great little B&B

We stayed one night so we could attend a concert at Ironstone Winery and we loved everything about the Dunbar Bed & Breakfast. We didn't know what to expect since this was our first B&B experience but it did not disappoint. We woke up and got downstairs for breakfast just a few minutes past the final hour and the chef allowed us to nibble on a few things before they were completely put away. She didn't have to, she could have said, "Sorry! Kitchen's closed!" but she had no problem with it. Loved every aspect of the house!

All staff were very pleasant, the rooms each had their own personality and the old historic Home is reflective of a different time. We were very surprised to learn that we were the only guests midweek so we had it to ourselves. Mike was very helpful.
