"We had a wonderful stay at the house with our family of four. The location is absolutely incredible, with breathtaking views and easy access to the national park and volcano village. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What stood out most was the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere as it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the island.Waking up surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii’s volcanic landscape was unforgettable. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and unique place to stay on the Big Island, I highly recommend. We would gladly stay here again."

"Exceptional vacation rental! Our return to the Pahoa area to renew our wedding vows was made a memory we will never forget, in part due to the extraordinary details Jennifer and Jeff put into the rental. There was not one detail that was not addressed. If you need it while staying there, they’ve thought of it and made sure it’s clean and ready for your use. The grounds are so beautiful, you enjoy nature and privacy in a setting that would be hard to replicate elsewhere. Need extra towels or chairs for your beach visit-checkWant to try snorkeling- check Want to learn to play the ukele- checkRelax on the lanai to watch the rain - they left blankets for cuddling and candles for ambianceMy husband’s review: it was awesome, wish we’d stayed there longer.Not sure how future rentals will surpass theirs. If you want to get away from it while on the Big Island , but still have the chance to visit the sites; THIS IS YOUR SPOT!Just hope it will be available for our return trips. "My family and I were looking for a place to spend the night between Hilo and Volcano National Park. We loved the unique setting this home offered. There was plenty of space for everyone and Jenny was very easy to communicate with. We loved the viewing loft with a telescope but unfortunately it was a very rainy stay and we weren't able to star-gaze.If you're looking for a home feel off the main tourist areas we highly recommend reaching out to Jenny."

"We stayed here when really bad Kona storms came through. I understand that isn't the fault of the owners, but they didn't let us know the power was out until after we came from the other side of the island and passed by restaurants and shops with power. I was irritated by the poor communication but was going to let it pass until the next day when we talked to another guy who came and said they didn't tell him the power was out either. So now I feel like they were trying to avoid cancellations. It's sucks because the room and property were actually really nice. But without power, there was *nothing* - not even running water. No shower, no toilet... They did bring us a pack of water and candles on the second night but it felt like an afterthought. If you stay here when there aren't the worst storms in a few decades, I bet it will be great. But if there's any inclement weather, maybe think of a Plan B."

"Cozy, and felt secluded. View from room was into tropical jungle. Room was clean, but felt small, with bed and tiny table/chairs in window. Microwave, coffee maker, and fridge provided, but only used fridge for breakfast and lunch supplies. Didn't use coffee maker. Need to rely on local restaurants for meals. Very convenient to Volanoes NP.Overall, just OK for the area. Parking is tight, and path to room is difficult to navigate, especially at night. Need to bring your own drinking water. They collect and filter rain water, but you probably don't want to drink it. Broken towel holder and bare bulbs over the bathroom vanity suggest improvements are in order.It WAS very quiet and secluded, but overall our least favorite rental on the islands."

"The location is so convenient to access volcanoes national. The check in process was easy. Unfortunately, we had 4 guests in our reservation and the property only had 2 towels. The beds are wildly uncomfortable and really this should be marketed as 2 adults and possibly kids the other beds are not for adults and all of them are very uncomfortable. "
