The hotel it's self is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is a bit outdated but is still very clean looking. We arrived quite late but the staff couldn't have been any more helpful. Plenty of parking available

Stunning hotel and staff are friendly and really helpful. It was perfect for my stay as I traveled up by coach which is a 15 minute walk and went home by train 7 minutes walk. It’s dead in the centre of Leicester and you can get to everything you need. My only complaint is when you end up at the back end of the hotel there is a bar which stays open until 2am and it can be noisy but other than that it’s a great place to stay and worth every penny.

Spacious grand entrance, pleasant helpful reception staff. Room was of a good large size, modern, contemporary, clean with excellent facilities. 24-hour bar with good selection of drinks. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide range of choice and fresh produce of a high standard. The hotel exceeded all my expectations and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We loved our stay. The breakfast was delicious, our rooms spacious. The only thing is the twin beds are 3ft not the standard single. They were a little small for us! Apart from that our dinner was lovely.

Fantastic hotel, with all it's history lovingly and sympathetically included in its design. The staff were brilliant- friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond for my partners Birthday, which was the reason for our stay. The room was spotless, well laid out, and the amenities were of a high standard. If we ever visit Leicester again, this would be my first choice of hotel.

Yet another stay at this beautiful renovated city centre hotel. As always a very pleasant welcome on arrival and at check-in, plenty of easy parking (and not expensive). Beautiful spacious double room with en suite shower a bath and toiletries to hand, N/B no air conditioning presently, but given two large effective fans running through out the day to help maintain room airflow, room was serviced every day to maintain clean and crisp atmosphere. Breakfast served as a buffet along side a small A La Carte menu offering upgrades. Beautiful bar and reception area offering drinks or respite from city centre life.

Absolute stunning hotel. Lovely to see a hotel with so much history being restored. Currently going through refurb. Staff friendly. Breakfast amazing. Bedroom was small with no air con. Main elevator was out of order but you could use staff/service lift if needed. Car park at rear of hotel with reduced rates for hotel guests. Would definitely stay here again just not in the middle of a heat wave.

Room and bathroom was clean, a bit small for a family room. once the sofa bed was made up we couldn’t use the chairs with coffee table. The linen and towels weren’t refreshed and just folded and put back for re-use which we didn’t like at all. The bed was “made” but not cleaned before tidying it. Please keep an eye on both of these if you are fussed about the “hotel” experience. Our room was not hoovered during our stay. Paid a premium price for a 4 star local hotel, then we paid extra for parking which really should have been free for guests staying more than 2 nights at least! Parking is onsite and leads straight into reception which was good. Lots of places to eat on the hotels doorstep. However, it was extremely noisy until late at night. We were woken up very early on our first morning, to the loud sounds of scaffolding being removed from the front of the Hotel. There was no pre-warning of this noise pollution and they could have started later than 7 in the morning to remove it! That was very annoying. The hotel was nice but only for 1/2 nights because of the noise and cleaning issues.

Location is in city center. Overall condition is not a good as I saw on picture. Elevator is not working so we had to carry luggage to our room (staff did say they can help). The carpet in public area is old and has smell. Room is ok but noise isolation is poor. Car park is small and £10 overnight. Staff is polite. Breakfast is good.

The lift was broken so the service lift was the only option. However the landing areas were 'behind the scenes' and poor quality. I did not much care for the long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower from a previous guest. Clearly not a good cleaning regime. The shower has my pet hate. The shower controls are behind the door. You can't use them without being inside it and it is too small to avoid getting the inevitable blast of cold water that is living in the pipes before whatever the previous selected temperature lands on you. The breakfast was very good -freshly cooked and delivered on a plate. Not the usual buffet.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Grand Hotel and would definitely return. Our room was exceptionally clean and clearly very well prepared—Kannika had done a fantastic job getting everything ready for our arrival. The room itself looked recently refurbished, with a fresh and modern feel that made it very comfortable. Despite being in the city centre, which can be quite noisy at night, we slept incredibly well. The windows did a great job of blocking out the outside noise, and we had two wonderfully restful nights with no disturbance from other guests either. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service made it even better. The lady who served us, I believe her name was Anya, was delightful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There was a small inconvenience during our stay as the main lift wasn’t working, meaning we had to use the back lift. However, the reception team handled this very kindly by waiving the parking fee, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel is in the process of being updated. The main entrance and restaurant have been refurbished to a very high standard, while some areas like the corridors and staircases are still undergoing improvements. That said, this didn’t impact our stay at all, especially given how comfortable and well-finished our room was. Overall, a very positive experience—we would happily stay here again

From checking in to checking out the staff were always polite and helpfu. The room was very clean apart from a small cobweb in a small corner in the bathroom, but it didn’t detract from the cleanliness of the rest of the room.
