Tranquil location

Peaceful and picturesque place to stay by the lake edge. Very handy to the Soldiers Memorial Hall which was my son's wedding venue. We would definitely stay here again for a quiet weekend away.

The view of the lake and the everchanging birds, was amazing.You immediately exhale when looking out over Lake Ellesmere and watch the swans, spoonbills, herons and other beautiful birds living their lives.Even when the weather changes the scenery is stunning.The bed was very comfy. The lounge seating was comfy and relaxing.Good power in the shower. Wonderful

Very relaxing!!

The listing title is very accurate, privacy tranquility and lots of wildlife on your front lawn! I cannot recommend this place highly enough! We had such a great break from civilization, was hard to leave.

A wonderful peaceful retreat! Comfy beds, full kitchen, big lounge chairs to sink into, while watching that superb view over a quiet lake. Clean windows helped. Everything you could want in the kitchen. We loved the artwork around the walls and the ambience! The books around gave us history and birdlife and would encourage more days to stay if we had the time! We felt very private and the total silence must have been good for the soul.
Kotutu. . . the White Heron made its presence only twice.
In front of this beautiful (old) but well renovated house, is a jetty mainly used by birds, not boats!
A full verandah circles this house - on a calm and calm day, this is the view from several really comfy outdoor seats!
