Loved the scenery and wildlife around the cabin. Not far from other places to go and see. Went to Deadwood, Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore. Our next stay we will take in the ATV trails. The cabin was very comfortable and plenty of room.
Beautiful home, great view, it fit our needs. We ate our meals on the deck. So beautiful to be out in the Hills. To also use the garage was very helpful.
We didnt even realize the property didnt have AC or Wifi when we booked. So just something to think about when booking. Convenient location. Very peaceful.
We went to Lead to celebrate my 63rd birthday with our 4 kids and some of our grandchildren. This VRBO exceded our expectations with the room it offered, great hot tub and the remote location with outstanding views! We could thoroughly enjoy God's creation everywhere you looked. Check in was flawless, the house had everything we needed to feed our large group with the gas grill on the deck and nicely stocked kitchen. Wi-fi worked great and Dish Network was a plus. The drive up the hillside with 7 switchbacks to the house was very doable with good roads. We hope we can stay here again soon.
We loved our stay! The views are amazing! The sleeping arrangements are perfect for a family with kids! The host was very prompt with answering all of our questions! My family will definitely stay there again!
We had a great stay. Our kids and ourselves really enjoyed the the game room and hot tub. It was centrally located between everything we wanted to do. Most definitely will book again.
Lots of space for our whole family. Location was private and the game area was a hit! Would definitely need 4 wheel drive in the winter but we stayed in the summer so we got there no problem in a car. Beautiful scenery!
This cabin has amazing views! It was clean and had everything you need! Lots of room for our teenagers. They liked having the hot tub and the pool table. The drive up to the cabin was beautiful too!! You definitely feel secluded but close enough to Lead if you need something. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!! Christmas 2021 Harris Family from Iowa ❤️
House has very nice views and lots of room for everyone. The downfall of our stay was the amount of maintenance that had been neglected in the past. It did make a hindrance in our stay ex) water coming through the basement doors. If improvements were made it would be an outstanding property through and through!
Hosts were very responsive when the power had gone out during a storm! Communication was great
I chose this cabin for our families because we wanted to hot tub and relax at a cabin in the woods! After hearing from owners and reading reviews, I was slightly apprehensive about getting to the cabin. A large snow storm has swept through the area 2 days prior to our arrival. However, the owners sent me a message ensuring the road was drivable - if we had 4x4 which we did. Even though we didn’t care otherwise, the cell phone service was better than reported. All of us had full service the entire time.
The cabin overall was very clean and accommodating to two families with children. We were impressed at the kitchen utensils and dishes available for use! Our kids had fun playing in the snow beside the house and loved the sleds and cross country ski’s available in the garage! The Easter bunny even found us in the woods 😂
Overall, great stay and would definitely book again!

Sturgis Riders
This property was very nice and definitely secluded, however this property was reserved for a group of motorcyclists going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. During the initial rental search, we found that the property was on a gravel road and up a steep grade with seven switchbacks.. We contacted the property manager 2 different times and was reassured that they have had motorcycle riders there before and should not be a problem at all. Upon arrival to the property, we found a very steep gravel road that was very rutted with very deep loose gravel and the switchbacks were extremely rutted. We tried to negotiate the road anyway with 3 of the riders barely making it up, one cyclist wrecked, one even had to be trailered up, and this is a group of very skilled veteran riders. The next day we tried for several hours to reach the property manager with no success. When he did finally respond, he simply stated that we should have checked the map better and that we knew about the steep road. At this point we tried to negotiate the gravel hell back down the mountain and when we finally made it to the bottom, we asked a few of the neighbors if we could park in their side lot. They informed us that we were not the first group this has happened to and that this unscrupulous property manager will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to rent their property. I would strongly advise any motorcyclists to avoid this property, it just is not safe for bikers and for that matter, any sports car or low profile automobile. We also found out the county only maintains the first couple miles of this gravel road and it is up to the property owners to maintain the rest. They generally do a very minimal amount to just keep them passible, because the people who live there don't care for the renters visiting these VRBO's. So if you are on a bike, or low profile sports car, I would definitely steer clear of this one.
This cabin was just as the website advertised. It was a little bit of a drive to the attractions we took in, but overall it was great. We all had a great experience, thank you for this!
Far off the main road; however, is super quiet. Good for relaxation. Kind of a Twin Peaks themed home. Beautiful view. Nice place needs new pool cues. It was very hot inside the house, needs better ventilation or AC. Cell signal is good no WiFi. "Dog friendly" restricted: they can only be on non carpeted areas and your dog cannot sleep with you. Otherwise a nice place to stay.
This gorgeous property was incredible. Our family of 9 enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and gorgeous views. We walked up and down the mountain and it was stunning! Short 20 minute drive to Terry Peak.
The host supplied ample kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and towels.
The loft room (3 single beds) was very cold in the winter, but would likely heat up if you needed these extra beds and left the door open.
Would definitely recommend 4-wheel drive in the winter to get to the house.
Highly recommend for a quiet getaway!
