A great place for larger groups with charm and character of 3 bedrooms and 2 baths decorated for the river! The primary bedroom, with a king bed, is on the main floor with an attached bath. The other two bedrooms are on the 2nd level. The first bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. The second bedroom, with river views, has 2 double beds.

The house was perfect. View of the river and nice seating outside. Clean and had everything we needed for our stay, even a complimentary bottle of wine which was very nice. Located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location!

Had such a fun girl's trip! Great shopping, libations and food. The house was perfect. So clean and the front porch was great for wine, a fire, watching the river and hanging out. We'll be back!

Great location to walk to dinner. Plenty of room for five. Fully stocked kitchen. Excellent river views and nice outdoor furniture and provided firewood.

Perfect for a friends get together!

The River Chateau was very clean, great view of the Mississippi and had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. We parked our cars in the driveway and didn't need them until we left LeClaire.

girls trip

we had a girls trip to celebrate that one from our group recently retired from work. the house was wonderful and had plenty of room for all of us. the location was perfect. we only had a short walk to everything in town. and the fire pit was the best way to sit and enjoy the view!

Just Perfect

My mother unexpectedly passed away and it was a little sanctuary for a few days during a very hard time. The attention to detail was wonderful . The river always calms my soul.

Very nicely done!

This lovely spot was just as pictured but better. Exceptionally clean, nice towels, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen with spices even. Comfortable couch with a great view. The patio overlooking the river is perfect for sunrises or evenings with a glass of wine. Do check out the winery, just a short 2 block walk. The decor is really well done and very inviting. A favorite VRBO for sure! Can't say enough good, there wasnt a single negative!

Girls gathering

Growing up in the Bettendorf, LeClaire is always a great place to stay when returning to the QC. This house was perfect! It has an excellent view of the river and the trains pass by. The house is immaculately clean with well supplied kitchen, bathrooms and wonderful bedding. There was a Christmas tree in living room. It was like coming back home. Christmas carols were playing on the streets of LeClaire. We spent 3 nights and never left this lovely little town. We will return and stay at the Chateau again!

Can't beat the location

This house was perfect for our family and the location is ideal for walking to the shops, restaurants, coffee houses, brewery, distillery and winery along Cody Road. The property was better than described and the set up worked well for our group. The main bedroom with its own bath on the first level was perfect for my wife and I. Our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter used the upstairs bedrooms, and had their own bath, as well (also on the first floor). The house was spotless and there was plenty of extra pillows and blankets, if needed. The front patio with its firepit and well-stocked supply of wood has a spectacular view of the river. Sheila was very responsive and we will definitely be staying here again.

Annual Girl's Trip

Our group of 5 friends had a wonderful time during our 4 night stay on our Annual Girl's Fall Trip while we visited LeClaire and stayed in this beautiful home. We enjoyed the fantastic views of the Mississippi River and having our home based right in the midst of the town shops, and restaurants. It is beautifully decorated and very well stocked. The Dining Room table worked out great to play games, and we enjoyed sitting out on the front patio and also using the fire pit. Sheila was great in answering our questions when planning our trip. Parking was great in the private drive-way and check-in was super easy. Everyone in LeClaire was very friendly and welcoming. The Information Center downtown was very helpful. If the opportunity arises, we would love to come back to LeClaire and stay here again!

Perfect for a family gathering. My dad recently broke his hip and the first level of the home was well situated for using a walker (might not be officially "handicap accessible", but worked well for us).This house didn't feel like a rental. From the quality (and quantity) of the kitchenware/grill to the decor throughout the home, it's clear that someone really cares. They're clearly trying to stock the place with everything you might need. Easily the best place I've stayed at. Notes for future travelers:- Survey the entire house right away to see what's available. We didn't find the fire starters until the 4th day. - Both bathrooms are on the first floor and 2 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor (might need to make a trek down the stairs in the middle of the night). Not a big deal, but some people in my group weren't fond of this.- The location within the city is ideal, easy walking distance to everything but with a better view than many other places.- The scoops ice cream place was a personal favorite, but I really enjoyed the brewery, distillery and wine tasting room as well.

This house was perfect for our short trip to the area to play some golf. It is super clean and had everything we needed. The host was in contact with us several times to make sure we didnt need anything. The river views were awesome and the shops and restaurants close by were great as well. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone coming to the area.
