Lake Maggiore stretches out from this imposing Italian villa, while the lush green hills undulate on the horizon. An airy foyer, adorned with Baroque-style accents, welcomes you as you enter. The sophisticated interiors are bathed in sunlight. Nearby, you’ll find wine bars, gelaterias, and coffee shops. The villa is divided into two completely independent apartments with shared areas that can be occupied separately or together.
Just a few dozen metres from the villa is the Sasso del Ferro cable car, which takes you in a few minutes to an altitude of over 1,000 metres near a panoramic restaurant overlooking Lake Maggiore and the seven adjacent lakes, with views of Monte Rosa, the Alps, and all the way to Milan. Also near the Villa, you can reach the harbour where a ferry runs continuously between Laveno and Intra, connecting the two shores of Lake Maggiore right in the middle of the lake. In the town of Laveno, you’ll find the typical narrow streets of the Verbano region, as well as various pastry shops, restaurants, and stores in the lakeside village, along with the shaded lakeside promenade.
Of course, the kitchens in both apartments are fully equipped (microwave and conventional ovens, a slicer, refrigerators and freezers, a professional dishwasher, coffee makers, etc.). The mattresses, sheets, and pillows are new and handcrafted, naturally featuring the signature Villa Frascoli logo.
Linen service, along with daily bathroom cleaning (additional cleaning can be arranged separately) and gardening services, are included in the price, as is Wi-Fi. Also included in the price is a housekeeper who can provide on-site assistance 24 hours a day.
There are over 10 parking spaces in the park and along the avenues.
The dock for the regular ferry service that runs continuously between Laveno and the islands and the main towns around the lake is about 400 metres away. For guests who prefer to sail on their own, a 12-passenger motorboat with a skipper is available at the nearby harbour (price subject to change); the skipper can take you by water to the Borromean Islands or the Castles of Cannero, or—with a one-hour boat ride north— to Locarno or Ascona, or south to Angera or Arona.
Of course, you can also go swimming at the town’s various beaches, all easily accessible on foot.
Malpensa Airport is about a 30-minute drive away, as is Lugano Airport. Milan is just an hour away.
The town of Laveno offers all necessary amenities, including three supermarkets, and has two train stations (Ferrovie dello Stato and Ferrovie Nord) with frequent connections to Milan, Varese, and Switzerland.
The golf course and Varese’s tourist airport are about a 20-minute drive away, while the base camp for hang gliders and gliders is located on Sasso del Ferro, easily accessible from Villa Frascoli. CIR CODE: 012087-LNI-00060
