This is my second time at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, because my first visit was so awesome! On my first stay, I was actually on an overnight layover so I was looking for a hotel that was NOT on the strip, and was easily accessible from the airport - and this definitely fits the bill. The strip is a very short Uber ride away anyways. As a solo female traveler, I was thrilled with the "laptop friendly" restaurants and dozens of outlets available throughout the hotel. I felt very safe, and every staff member I chatted with was amazing. I knew I had to come back for an actual vacation! So this time around I booked a weekend getaway for my mom and I to celebrate Mother's Day.
Just like my last visit, I was able to check in hours earlier (woohoo!) and also got an upgrade way cheaper than what's shown online. I've stayed in the Ruby Tower both times, and can't recommend it enough! I've tried all of the restaurants, but our mutual favorite was Kassi for brunch (mezze platter is a MUST!). My mom loved how accessible the hotel was since she has some difficulty walking, and was raving about how sweet the staff was too (shoutout to the casino host Marcus!). The spa is jaw dropping, by the way!
Overall, there are only two very minor items to be aware of when you visit - first, smoking is allowed in the casino. I wasn't thrilled about this, but the staff keeps all casino areas VERY clean. Second - the big pool is only open on the weekends. So just be aware of that when booking your dates!
