Definitely coming back to Vegas and to this hotel that is taken care of the right way, location is perfect for every activity, I literally needed paper tissue and staff sent them right away to my room at no cost. Hotels with hundreds of rooms and people staying and they still will take care of every single customer, so glad I chose them. Check in on the phone was cool but key pickup was very slow. We only had 1 towel in the room, had to call twice over 2 hours to have them brought up. They use an ai system do you cant talk to a real person. Pool closes early 5pm which was a bummer. Upgraded to classic family suite. Room was nice size and clean but starting to show age. Closet has mirror sliding door that kept going off rails. Bathroom shower head sprayed water onto shower wall causing it to pool on bathroom floor. Had to keep towels piled up next to tub. Tub was a Roman tub which was deep. Hard to get into and out of especially for my 75 yr old mother. Safety rail was placed on side of shower/temp handle and if you used the safety bar to get out, you would step on a pile of wet towels from shower head leak. Beds and pillows comfortable. Quick bites are not really an option. Only options are McDonalds and a cafe but isn’t open every day. Didn’t try their signature restaurant at the top we stayed here mainly because Atomic Golf is right next door. Overall good time. On my way down to complain, the biggest cockroach I’ve ever seen in my life ran across my foot.. They then moved me to a “panoramic suite” which was fine. But if I would have booked for a “panoramic suite” and that’s what I walked into, I’d be very dissatisfied. There IS A REASON it is so cheap. STAY ON THE STRIP. You will be paying 20-25 dollars per uber every time you want to go somewhere, which will be ALL THE TIME because there’s nothing to do at the STRAT besides jump off it and eat at the top. Speaking of that, $400 for dinner and I thought the waiter was NEVER going to check on us and it was a special date night and the couple times he did come over he told us his entire life story. Food was good but not $400 good, service was poor, there’s nothing to do here. You are not saving money booking at this hotel. You’re just trading it for an uber bills. We arrived for check in early and prepared to have to wait, no problem. The desk clerk talked us into a “newly renovated room” leading us to believe it was so much better than the room we had booked. Even went as fast as to say that people that leave good reviews are in the new rooms and the peer reviews are from the old rooms. We agreed to pay the extra money for the newer room, sucked us right in. We arrived in the room only to find it disgustingly dirty, clearly he sent us to either someone else’s used room or a room that someone literally just left. We called the front desk and were told that they would have to send someone up to verify our story. My husband told her no, we’re not staying in this room, we will come back down and just take the room we originally booked. The lady on the phone told him “whatever” and hung up. I took a video of the room and when we returned to the front desk the fellow that had sold us the room didn’t even look up at us to see why we were there or acknowledge us in anyway. We went to another available clerk and explained, showed her the video and said we just want the extra money back and the same level of room we had originally booked. She said they couldn’t give the money back until we checked out. My husband asked to speak to a manager, she went and apparently spoke to someone who would not come and speak to us but told her yes they can have their money released.
