"This was our second year coming to the Rip Jack villas and it was an excellent stay. Hotel staff was very kind and courteous. Rooms were clean and kept clean daily. The food in the hotel was delicious; we’re still debating who among us had the best meals. This year we traveled with a larger group and everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back next year!"

"We had such an amazing stay at Villas Kalei in Playa Grande, CR 🌴✨ If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place. The views are absolutely stunning, and it’s just a short distance to the beach, perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. The whole atmosphere is so tranquil, we didn’t want to leave. The villa itself was incredibly clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to truly relax and enjoy the pura vida lifestyle Costa Rica is known for. It felt like a home away from home, but with even better views. The owners, Marcos and Jeisha, were so friendly and welcoming. They really made our stay special with their kindness and thoughtful recommendations. One of our favorites was Restaurante La Estrella, Huacas (about 20 minutes away). We had one of the best ribeye steaks we’ve ever had away from home! Thank you, Marcos and Jeisha, for creating such a beautiful and relaxing place we’re so grateful for your hospitality and hope to be back 💛 We’re already wishing we could return to Playa Grande. "This was truly an ideal place to stay for our week in Playa Grande. The house is divided into three casitas, each with a bathroom, and kitchenet. The main casita has a full kitchen. The beach is just down the road, and the beach access links to a trail that goes from Palm Beach Estates to Playa Grande. The pool was deep and perfect for a quick dip in the morning or afternoon. Three good restaurants in easy walking distance. Yoga with Liz was wonderful, and surf lessons from Playa Grande Surf Camp were easy to arrange and perfect for our skill level.We relaxed on site and did not rent a car. We walked to Playa Grande (25 minutes North by beach) to eat and take yoga at Rip Jack. We also walked to Tamarindo (15 minutes south by beach). Take a small boat across the estuary, 2. We like the quiet of PG, but also enjoy the shopping in Tamarindo. Try Green Papaya, we keep going back."

"Love the place, the pool was lovely and mostly quiet plenty of sitting available. The room was clean and well stocked with a full fridge, dishes everything you’d need. They don’t supply paper towels or dish soap so would want to get that before heading to the area. There is a tiny store but it’s not very equipped. Also you’re in jungle wooden area lot of bugs ants mostly take bug killer. Staff excellent and helpful. You are not on the beach but you have private access to it just across the way. There are 3 restaurants close by prices are American prices, not cheap. Buy snacks and food before heading to the area it will save you a ton of money. The hotel itself has no food or drinks. Within a mile or less down the beach you can cross by boat $2pp to Tamorino very active a lot shopping, restaurants and nightlife if that’s what you like. The hotel can set you up for tours and they will pick you up at the hotel. Bottom line this is a nice calm hotel but everything you want extra is close enough to get to. If you rent a car they have parking right out front it’s a safe this area is very clean and protected. Again, I would shop at a store before heading out to this hotel because it doesn’t have much of a selection. All the restaurants were good and the fresh fish was amazing. Have a fantastic vacation. Monkeys everywhere in the trees keep your eyes open. Turtles are fairly close down the beach also ask the front desk they will help you. "

"We absolutely loved our stay and would book it again in a heartbeat. The property was perfect for four married couples and a baby. Everybody had their own space. The kitchen was fantastic. We absolutely loved hanging out at the pool and at what felt like our own private beach. This was really a world class pampering.:)"

"Best place to stay in all of Costa Rica, I’m convinced. Everything you need is in the house. Clean, great wifi, everything you need in the kitchen, filtered water. If you like to surf, swimming, sunsets and a slow, quiet time this is your place (it is very close to tons of adventure there too). "
