This place is amazing! I alway stay here when I arrive at Mactan airport after a 2 day journey because it is so close to the airport. Also when I leave the Philippines I send a night or 2 here so that I am not likely to miss my flight due to traffic.It is a compound surrounded by a high fence. Inside is everything you need. The gardens are beautiful. The owners and staff work hard to keep them immaculate. The trees and shrubs attract a variety of garden birds.Their is also a cage of canaries and tame white rabbits and frogs roam free. There are never any dogs within the compound.The pool is big enough and deep enough for a good swim and never busy.It also has a jacuzzi area and a waterfall. These are not always turned on but if asked, the owner is always happy to put them on. The rooms are typically fairly basic with everything you need, including a fridge and air-con. The restaurant is nice. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The food is always cooked from good quality ingredients, portions are big enough and reasonably priced. Outside of the compound, the area is typical Philippines city. The locals are friendly. the kids like go practice their English on passing foreigners like me. there are other resurants close by if you fancy a change of scenery. Also. a shopping mall in easy walking distance. Barbers shops, massage therapists, street food sellers and small retailers are also close by. OK, they technically have internet service, but if you read the fine print it's only available in the pool area, which means that you have to sweat while using it. You can sometimes get it to work in your room, but it's very slow and throws you off after a few minutes. But if you use your phone for internet rather than wifi, you'll like this place.
