"Tranquility Cottage" is a quaint cottage on the West Side of Lake Mokoma

#6 LMA Tranquility Cottage: 24 South Fountain Avenue, Laporte, PA 18626

Beautifully updated, this quaint cottage features a screened in back porch to relax on a summer day plus a large deck where you can enjoy the summer breeze and cook-out with the charcoal grill (please no grilling on porch). This one level cottage has a living room, TV and an eat-in kitchen with a mini freezer. There is one bedroom with a bunk bed, with a double on the bottom and a single on the top and a full bath. The cottage has a new ductless air conditioning to cool off! Enjoy a day on the lake with the kayak.

Tranquilla Cottage sleeps up to three people. There is an air mattress provided as well. This is a non-smoking cottage. New for 2024: pets are permitted. WiFi is available, but can not be guaranteed. Linens and towels are not provided; a few towels may be accessible.

The hike is not very difficult, with accessional hikes up and down, but it is long considering that you will stop to admire and take pictures at most of the waterfalls. Bring lunch, snack and water if you planning to see all 22 waterfalls.

Great little getaway!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were in town for the World’s End Ultra Marathon and were so grateful to have the cabin as our home base just 15 minutes from the trail. We’re looking forward to coming back again next year!

The Cabin was so clean, obvious it was newly renovated and in such great shape! Perfect for two person weekend getaway. Few steps from a beautiful lake and short drive to state parks. Perfect for the weekend, we will definitely be back!

Good weekend getaway.

This cottage is a cute, little weekend getaway property. Good location, just enough for 2 people to stay at. Relaxing and peaceful. Maybe add a deck of cards/ some board games to play at night. Also, maybe in the binder left, could have some local things to do/ places to eat. Overall a cute and quaint cottage!

Clean and Cozy Cabin in the Woods

I rented this property for my mother. She was super impressed by the cleanliness. Everything seemed brand new. The cabin was also well stocked with tons of privacy. There was even a view of the lake. We would definitely rent again.

Was exactly what we were looking for

We were just up for a short weekend but worked out well and was just right for what we needed. It's no frills but it's a cabin and should be expected.
