"Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Moderately priced. The only things that needed improvement were the lack of plates for breakfast so we used bowls but it's not ideal to eat waffles from cereal bowls. The dog area is pretty lacking, bare dirt, very small fenced area, no poop bags but we had our own. Overall happy and will stay again next time we go through Elko."

"The front staff were terrible at their job. The bathroom floor was full of hair, the tub looked at though somebody had gutted their Elk in the room, stained tub floor and more hair in the shower. The ice maker was making a horrible noise and the front staff said "it isn't my problem and I can't do anything about it, the maintenance person has left for the day". I would not recommend this place to anyone. They say "The newest hotel in Elko" but that doesn't make it nice, clean or a good place to stay."

"I am not sure that I have ever seen a hotel staff as helpful as this group. The rooms were very nice . Breakfast was different every day! Really from the top down or the bottom up. Everyone was very helpful and friendly!!!!!"

"Water heater broke at the maverick so they moved us to a room at the Gold Country. The room at the gold country costs less than the Maverick but they wouldnt offer any sort of compensation/refund. The room was really dirty, dead bugs in the room, pool was out of service, and the water in the restaurant at the gold country tasted like hose water. The rooms have popcorn ceilings that are super dirty and cracking. People were very kind, but rooms are dirty, parking lot is not maintained so theres pot holes everywhere."
