"Beautiful home for a mountain getaway. Host was honest, home was immaculately clean. Nice appliances, nice tv's, speedy internet for being on the side of a mountain, nice furniture ( was very impressed with the furniture, towels, bathroom cleanliness, nice extra blankets, utensils ). This property doesnt use thrift store, goodwill things or appliances to just have a rental and make extra money, they care about the quality of the stay. 2 bottles of wine ( we dont drink wine but the gesture in...

"Some of the amenities listed for the property we're not on site. There was no hot tub. That wasn't a huge deal. However, the listing did state there was air conditioning and there was not. There happened to be record high temperatures during our stay and two adults have medical conditions/on medication that makes them heat intolerant as well as one of the children being autistic, the lack of AC was a major issue. The property management company brought out portable units and promptly resolved...

Red Roof Inn Hillsville

10/10 Excellent

"Hello, we always stay at the Red Roof Inn when traveling from Florida, it is Pet friendly and the rooms are perfect with pets, no carpets, rooms close to an exit and on the lower level making it so much easier to have a pup with us, I wish there was a better grassy area to allow my dog to potty, it is located behind large trees right next to a water ditch, other guests do not clean up properly and there is poop everywhere. Also as a female taking my pup out to potty it is a little creepy. EVERYTHING else regarding the hotel is GREAT.... the staff is absolutely wonderful, they remembered us from previous stays!! The rooms are VERY well kept. I wish the towels were a little bigger and better quality but that is really still ok. We will definitely stay at this location in the future, we travel approx. 3 times a yr and always pic this location."

Creekside Cottage Near Floyd, VA, on 250 acres with deck, gas grill and WiFi.

10/10 Excellent

"Wife and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at the cabin! Bed was comfortable and we got out and walked the farm some, went up some steep hills, nice workout! We also got out and went to Floyd and some other nearby places. All in all we’d stay here again. Thank you!"

Cozy 1-bedroom house in awesome Lambsburg with WiFi, AC , swimming pool.

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed our stay at the tiny house. It was very clean. We especially loved the Akorn BBQ grill, our steaks were delicious, they had an air fryer. We didn't use it but nice addition. And thank you for welcome basket with snack. It is also very close to the Blue Ridge parkway, local farms, wineries and Mount Airy. I would definitely recommend Vincent's tiny house. Thank you Vincent for the hospitality. Mildred and Scott B."

Hampton Inn Galax

8/10 Good

"The Virginia Highlands hospitality is evident in every employee at this property. From the moment we checked in to checking out the staff was helpful and knowledgeable about their community. We were immediately pointed in the right direction for good food, beer and music. The Breakfast was on par with the Hampton Inn Brand and the Breakfast room was immaculate. Hot tub was hot and our room was quiet. My only comment and this applies to many hotels; guests should be informed on booking that there may be either on-going re-modeling, in this case the fitness room was piled with furniture and much of the parking was blocked by shipping containers, we also find many hotels have contract workers living in the hotel, which is fine, but it is different than the traveler experience. I would stay here again, just to be around such warm and welcoming staff."
