This was an amazing property with a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Our family enjoyed the coziness of the home and caught some of the best sleep we've ever gotten while traveling! Coffee (and wine) on the beautiful back porch was a nice wake up and wind down activity.
We loved staying here and plan to return! The cabin was lovely- had everything we needed and more. Meals on the deck were like dining in a treehouse. The location was perfect, too, and we had nearby adventures each day of our stay: Lake Rabun swimming, waterfalls, trails, Clayton... endless!
My boyfriend, brother, and his fiancée all decided to stay here last minute after our other plans fell through due to the unfortunate and unexpected devastation of Hurricane Helene. We were very lucky to have found ourselves in the hospitality of such a lovely gem. I grew up coming to a friend’s lake house here on Lake Rabun so it was a weekend of nostalgia as well as new memories. We were very close to the lake for day outings while still away in a nice quiet tucked away cabin for the evening. The hosts were excellent, seriously above and beyond. Communication beforehand as well as checking in during the stay were great, they left some local treats to try as well as tons of literature for local recommendations. The cabin was clean, well stocked for cooking and grilling, and had plenty of room for us. We were all very impressed with the amount of effort put in to making it a memorable stay, the guestbook full of people’s stories of their stay lived up to the hype. We all really hope to come back again, hopefully very soon. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay while in this area, you found it!
We had an amazing 2 week experience in Scott and Claudia's cabin. Beautifully and thoughtfully appointed spaces, prompt and efficient communication (Hurricane Helene blew through) with Scott, the lakes and waterfalls proximity--we loved it and look forward to a return stay.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is cozy and rustic while still having all of the comforts that anyone could want. Communication with the host was fast and friendly, the house was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable, and the location was great. We love hiking to many of the nearby waterfalls and the location of the cabin was perfect for this. Everything about this stay was top-notch, and my family will definitely be back in the next year or two to stay here.
If you like going back in time to beautiful woodwork, cast iron skillets, quiet nature where you can really hear just birds, no motors humming and enjoy a cool evening outside fire, this is it. Slow down, read a book, play cards or yahtzee, BBQ and smell the smoke. This Very cozy comfortable place is for you.
We absolutely loved staying at Scott and Claudia’s! It was perfect for a fall break getaway with our two children (3 and 5). We loved how quiet it was but also close by to many great amenities such as hiking, apple picking and exploring the nearby towns! They had everything we needed and they didn’t skip on a single detail! We highly recommend this place for anyone and everyone! We will definitely be back ❤️
Lovely, charming clean cabin. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Loved the cabin, it was well stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Owner provided detailed directions to cabin which were helpful since there was no cell service on mountain, so navigation on phone did not work. Car navigation worked but not totally accurate. I loved the peacefulness of the cabin and the surrounding area. Hiking to the waterfalls was amazing.
Our family had a wonderful time lodging in this extremely well equipped Lakemont cabin. The kids especially enjoyed the winding roads leading to it, they certainly added to the adventure. Our hosts provided everything we could have possibly needed before and during our stay. We wanted for nothing. In regards to the area, it was a relaxing retreat for us. We spent a lot of time on the lake and loved viewing the 4th of July fireworks show on our boat, that was an experience we won’t forget. Hiking is incredible too and right outside the door. Thank you for an amazing vacation!
This cabin is very clean and beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We had a great weekend in the woods. There are nearby hikes and the lake is gorgeous. The hosts were very helpful and responded quickly. We loved everything about our stay and hope to go again!
This was the perfect quaint cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We were blown away by the generosity and hospitality of Scott and Claudia. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in their home. We cannot recommend this cabin and hosts enough. We hope to make it back someday!
