"Made a Friday night reservation for their 2BR suite in August. When we arrived at the location listed on Expedia, we found ourselves in a residential neighborhood with no "Tanglewood Suites" in sight. I had emailed in advance for clarification on the location but didn't get a reply. We called the place and the proprietor said there was no record of a reservation and that she never rents for one night only. We were left high and dry with no reasonably priced play to stay in the area. "
"We returned to the Chambery Inn to celebrate my wife's birthday and the Memorial Day weekend. We were very happy with our choice. We stayed in a beautiful room (203), which included a spacious sitting area and a well-appointed bath. The breakfast were nicely prepared and presented. "I loved staying in this house for a month. The large screened porch was my favorite place to sit in the morning with a good cup of coffee and a book. Extremely well equipped with kitchenware, it was a joy to cook, there was plenty of space for me and my guests, and I enjoyed the proximity to Great Barrington restaurants and stores and Lake Mansfield. Didier was always responsive and helpful."
"This was one of the best motels I've stayed in. Normally motels are older and musty. This was very bright, no smell. White bathroom was very clean. Comfortable bed. It's set a little back on the main road. Because it was cool, we turned off the AC and opened the rear window. It was quiet. Check in/out was easy. Reasonable for the area. Highly recommend."

"Entire house, including bathrooms were very clean. Open, airy and private as advertised. Decks on the East and South great for relaxing and eating. Only minor downside is that the limited shoulders on Alford road require extreme caution if walking to town. Not a problem for cyclists, however. We have vacationed in the Berkshires for over 35 years. This property rates in our top 1-2%."
"This was a return stay at Eden Rock. The room is modern, well-appointed, clean, with very comfortable beds. Access to an outside area is pleasant. Quiet location, convenient to Great Barrington and Berkshire attractions. While there is no front desk or reception area, instructions for accessing the room are easy to follow."
