Lake San Cristobal is absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed the calm waters just outside the back door. We loved paddle boarding and kayaking along the length of the lake in the morning, when the crystal clear water was like glass. The house itself was clean, well maintained, well-furnished, and well-supplied. It is a short distance to town and a reasonable drive to breathtaking views and hikes. The only thing that detracted from the otherwise serene experience was the sound of 4-wheel vehicles heading off to explore the surrounding mountains (but that is also what makes the area fun).
