Dear Nofar, We thank you for your feedback as it gives us the opportunity to clarify requests for a free upgrade. As with any Guests who stay with us we are disheartened if people do not enjoy their stay with us. However, it is unfair when it comes because we have not offered a free upgrade from Superior to Deluxe Seaview (3 room types up). We appreciate that that you informed us in your booking that it was your Honeymoon and you wanted a “upgrade to the room with sea view for free” but this is not a fair request for us or our other paying Guests. As an Adult Only couples resort, most of our Guests are celebrating their Honeymoon or other special occasions together and so it would completely unfair to those Guest who have paid for the sea-view rooms; and from our side it is of course impossible to give free upgrades to all 2x night bookers from our starting room type to our top room type. We would have hoped that the Honeymoon set-up we provided in your room would have been a nice enough gesture. As you arrived late in the evening, demanding this again from our receptionist on duty will only of course get the answer as I have explained above. We hope Guest will understand this. We then offered you a promotional price for the upgrade but you refused this, wanting it for free only. As you booked with Expedia through a last minute promotion rate with a non-refundable policy we normally have to stick within the booking policy; and as the only feedback we had at the time was that you were unhappy not to get a free triple upgrade and had a mosquito in the room, then this is not a fair justification to request a refund. Again, we are sorry to read that you were not satisfied with your experience here with us and hope you make a choice that fits better for your preferences upon booking your next resort.
