Cons: absolute lack of maintenance, the hotel was build few years ago and since then there was no maintenance at all. Paint is peeling of the walls and ceiling, gardens without flowers, common areas look like construction yard, there is no space to hang around, sit together, etc. Fotos has been taken in the time the hotel was opened. Basic might do or even primative. Bed made strange noises, but so what, it was huge and very comfortable. Shower and toilet, old with peculiar plumbing but it all worked. Fabulous balcony. Not exactly pristine surroundings and was a bit muddy after rain, non of which killed anybody. Staff were brilliant. Was offered a coffee as soon as I arrived. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. The bad: smelly drains, no chairs for the desk, a sink that drains into the bathroom and pools instead of draining away so can get smelly, filthy mattress protector and linen with cigarette burns and marks. The ugly: cockroaches and bugs inside. This is likely because of the huge gaps under both the doors. Ãœberall hängen nur halb entfernte Spinnweben, im Bad riecht es nach Abfluss - und die Badezimmertür ließ sich nicht schließen, so dass der Geruch allgegenwärtig war, wenn auch im Zimmer eher „unterschwellig bzw. beim Vorbeilaufen an der Tür. Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen, die Einfahrt ist ein ungeteerter und sehr holpriger Weg. The WiFi was available in the reception area as well as the rooms close to it as the signal was strong. The hotel owner was very knowledgable about the komodo tour packages and was happy to offer advice etc. regarding companies and prices.
