You can discover the marshes, the forest, and its miles of fine sandy beaches... multiple landscapes that will not leave you indifferent. Facing the Ile de Ré, Tranche-Sur-Mer retains and cultivates its island character. There we find the charm of low houses with white walls and red tile roofs; you get lost in the cobbled streets which intertwine to finally converge towards the Grande Place in the center of the village. 13 km of fine sand beaches, 8 of which face south, La Tranche-Sur-Mer is a succession of renowned spots for surfing, kite surfing, sand yachting and windsurfing. Windsurfers call it “Little California”.
