Mere steps from our beloved beachfront Malecón, Casa Marysol boasts panoramic Sea of Cortez views from its bedroom and rooftop balconies. You’ll love unwinding in the spacious living room, which opens onto an immaculate private courtyard complete with a pool, & grill. Although you’ll be tempted to enjoy the house all day long, don’t forget that it’s only a short walk to our finest restaurants, bars, and shops! The Space: Right as you enter Casa Marysol you’ll see a beautiful mural depicting the sun setting over the Sea of Cortez. With its white walls, blue accents, and variety of marine decorations, Casa Marysol is a cute and classy beachtown villa, with its many spaces perfect for lounging and entertaining, this home invites connection and conviviality. You’ll love the rooftop terrace, open-plan kitchen/dining room, and bright, open, and fantastically decorated interior. The living room opens to a large and spacious backyard complete with a pool, grill, and a desert garden. The private spaces are just as inviting: both bedrooms are meticulously furnished and have their own full bathrooms and walk-out balconies. Casa Marysol is simplicity and elegance, done right. Guest Access: Guests have access to all areas of the house beyond the 2 bedrooms. Common areas include living room, kitchen and a full dining room, outdoor living room and pool in the courtyard, and laundry room with a washer and dryer. There are air conditioning units in every room of the house. We take pride in using non-toxic cleaning supplies, providing a healthier and more natural alternative, while being just as effective to synthetic-based conventional cleaners. We are making efforts towards water conservation in La Paz. We are adopting water-efficient technologies, growing mostly native vegetation in our decorative gardens, promoting responsible water usage, and building urban rainwater capture basins. Finally, we provide canvas grocery bags you can use in your trips to the local stores, farmer’s and fish markets The Neighborhood: The neighborhood overall is very quiet. The seaside promenade is about a minute’s walk from the house. Only a block away is our favorite breakfast place, María California and 2 blocks from Dulce Romero, a hip, organic sandwich shop and bakery. There is also a great butcher shop nearby where you can buy excellent meats in case you want to have a cookout. Casa Marysol is the perfect place to explore Baja California Sur’s only true Mexican city, set like a pearl in the crown of the Bay of La Paz. Your days can be spent wandering the shops and markets, strolling the Malecón or heading to the islands for scuba diving, snorkeling, or playing with the sea lion cubs. Getting Around: From the La Paz airport: You can take a taxi or rent a car.\* To the boardwalk , restaurants, bars, downtown and main square where the cathedral and plaza are located, the farmer's market, municipal market and supermarket: All are at WALKING DISTANCE. To the outlying beaches: You can drive, or take a taxi, or a tour. The property was clean, and very accommodating with everything we needed for our stay. It has a very interesting floor plan with many different areas and patios. The private patio in front of the house is a nice feature providing a buffer between the street and our accommodations. Big windows throughout the house provide excellent views and natural lighting. One area that surprised me, which wasn’t clear from the property description, was full garage access, large enough to fit my big Toyota Tundra (Often times with these vacation rentals the garage is off limits; usually a storage space for the property owners) so that was great! The neighborhood is charming with lots of offerings within walking distance, and the location by the malecon couldn’t be better. The kitchen was well equipped, with good quality pots and pans and decent set of cooking knives which to my surprise were quite sharp. The only thing I would recommend is a few more Tupperware containers for leftovers storage. One of the reasons we selected this rental was a proper large screen smart T.V. situated at the correct level for comfortable viewing. The pool area was very nice, with plenty of shade surrounded by palms and fruit trees. It has an excellent poolside charcoal grilling space. The bedrooms were large and well lit, with comfortable beds, good quality linens and pillows, (not the cheap, thin linens that are common in Mexico). Numerous restaurants, you can walk everywhere. The house and pool were great! So many different options to sit outside. Host was very responsive and even arranged an in house massage. It was nicely decorated, clean, the beds so comfortable, plenty of space and seating for 4 people with all the indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool was just perfect, shaded in the afternoon. The neighborhood around had several great restaurants and a convenience store nearby and lovely to be just a block up from the Malecon. ##### Jennifer W. The location of Marysol allows walking to the waterfront, neighborhood restaurants, and other interesting sites. Check in was very smooth and communication with the property manager was stellar. We picked one great place with Casa Marysol. Just a block from the marina and beach. Great way to start the day is to walk the La Paz Promenade along the Sea of Cortez.
