Very good hotel overlooking the bay of Douarnenez. Excellent room with sea view and balcony. Air conditioning much appreciated. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant and drinks menu is fairly expensive, the food quality could have been better for the price charged. Restaurant service can be slow, although the staff are pleasant. Was charged for a full bottle of wine, when I had ordered one glass, but mistake was corrected. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Cleaniness and maintenance excellent. Would definitely return.

I had eaten at this hotel a couple of times and having enjoyed the food and liked the traditional decor asked at reception if a lift went to all the bedrooms as I have mobility issues and don’t cope well with stairs and was told “ yes we have a lift to all floors”. We therefore booked a room at this hotel in our next visit to the area. Upon checking we were told our room was on the 4th floor and that the lift only went to the 3rd floor then it was 4 steps to the 4th floor room so we went up in the lift to the third floor to find our room would be up a huge great staircase I could not manage. Despite Expedia showing plenty of rooms available the staff member said “ we are fully booked so can’t you try to get up there “ umm no ! You can’t turn on and off a disability when it suits - I wish. I showed her all the rooms on Expedia and offered to pay for an upgrade and she said they had no rooms so I said we’d have to find somewhere else to stay. Upon reaching reception suddenly they had a room on the 1st floor for us - all this had taken 2 hours and we said thank you and took the key ! We should have left - the room was filthy as photos show but we had no more fight in us and the manager was rude so didn’t want the conflict but won’t ever stay again and the final laugh - the in room guest guide says they are not able to take anyone with a wheelchair or some disabilities! Avoid at all costs and disabled or not it’s dirty !
