This was a great place to stay, I was a little confused about what amenities were available and where. But overall, very content with this hotel

The Monroe was just perfect for an overnight stay in downtown Montreal Sufficiently big to not feel like a regular hotel room and kind of feel at home Front desk personal super nice We enjoyed out stay

The hotel is perfectly located downtown and close to all types of restaurants and shopping. It is an older building with a lot of character. The staff was very accommodating. When I called to ask about rooms because my husband was having back surgery, the front desk immediately suggested the junior room on the top (3rd) floor where the walk-in shower and toilet have a grab bar. The room was large and there was ample room for the walker. It could easily accommodate a wheelchair. It was also right beside the elevator. Our room had 2 air conditioners. The complimentary breakfast was bountiful and tasty. The staff were helpful, spoke fluent English, and asked how the surgery went. There was a pharmacy a block and a half away. Nothing is perfect, but for our purposes, Hotel Chez Swann was a great place to stay!! Thank you to the wonderful staff. :))

Simply Great

Parking was confusing, not much signage for English tourists, lots of stains on the carpet and outdated bathroom/kitchenette. The bath faucet sounded like it was going to explode. Main desk was very pleasant! There was a language barrier so it seems a few things we had to go back and ask (such as how the elevator worked - we got scared that we were stuck lol)! Lovely location.
