A holiday in La Gomera is an unforgettable experience surrounded by lush landscapes. If you head to the centre of the island, you’ll be able to lose yourself in the Garajonay National Park, a protected natural space declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This great natural treasure is home to the laurisilva or laurel, a mass of prehistoric vegetation that covered the tropics millions of years ago. Thanks to our cheap trips to La Gomera, you’ll be able to discover the unparalleled beauty of the unique landscapes. One example is the Las Nieves recreation area, where you’ll find a spectacular vantage point where you can admire the stars all year round. In addition, the island’s viewpoints allow you to enjoy Los Roques, or the rock guardians, huge blocks of magma that stand out among the vegetation. The most representative ones are Agando, La Zarcita, Carmona and Ojila. The Valle Gran Rey Rural Park is another gem: beautiful springs, steep cliffs and the tranquillity of the small rural estates await you in this protected natural space. The land, now covered by palm trees, span the hillsides where you might be able to spot a curious reptile in danger of extinction, the giant lizard of La Gomera. To the north of the island, accessible only by sea from Valle Gran Rey and Playa de Santiago beach, you’ll find the cliff known as Los Órganos. Experts say the ferocious sea waves sculpted a large mass of magma, transforming it into enormous columns of lava. The boat ride to view this natural phenomenon is a most pleasant experience.
