Find hotels in La Cueva from £39

The best area to stay in La Cueva is around La Cueva itself, particularly in the immediate vicinity of the main attractions and the village centre.

La Cueva is a small, charming village, and the area directly surrounding the main archaeological site of El Castillo and Las Monedas caves is the most convenient. You'll find a concentrated cluster of guesthouses and restaurants within a short walking distance of the cave entrance and the small local museum. The village itself is quite compact, with its main road, CA-142, running through it, making navigation straightforward.

This central area is ideal for families with an interest in history and natural wonders. Staying here means you're just a stroll away from the prehistoric caves, making it easy to plan your visits without needing to rely on transport. There are also walking paths directly accessible from the village, superb for an afternoon ramble.

For those seeking a more relaxed and secluded experience, perhaps couples looking for a quiet escape, the slightly more rural accommodations just outside the immediate village centre offer excellent options.

The best time to visit La Cueva, Cantabria, for pleasant weather and outdoor activities is generally from June to September.
