The location was excellent which was only 3 - 4 mins to JR kyoto station. Cleanliness was good. The only thing need to improve is- the full english name from expedia was different/ unclear from the name plated signal at the entrance, it took me another 10 mins to figure out the hotel location. The bed was not as comfortable as most hotels, but I was able to sleep fine. It was very clean and nice. The owner was also a very nice guy. The room I stayed in and all the facilities were very clean and nice. The location was also super convenient being so close to Kyoto station. This place is very homely and has a really nice japanese feel to it. I would call it a modern Ryokan? The decorations are very traditional, and the whole place has a lovely natural wood scent. The host is a very easy going person, and the check in process is also extremely easy going.
