Location was nice. Quick walk over bridge to shopping and food. We also were right by all the geisha's. Cool area. Definitely recommend. Only annoying thing was check in desk was at a different location. The RESI reception staff (based at a different location) was also very nice. However, when we got to our room we were immediately put off — there was a dank, unpleasant odor with a layer of harsh chemical cleaner over it all. My partner’s eyes & skin started reacting. Neither of us wanted to spend a night there, much less the 4 nights we had reserved. We’ve never done this, but we decided to leave immediately and find other accommodations, which was a stretch for us.
