Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Was a nice enough hotel, a little dated, but a clean room and comfy beds. However when we checked in they slapped us with an extra charge for my son's breakfast. We booked 2 adults and 1 child (including breakfast), but they told us that the booking only included breakfast for my wife and I, and not my son. The reason they told us why was that there was some problem with the Hotels.com website. I showed them the booking printout and argued as much as I could, but my Japanese is limited.
